Announcement: CSP is growing and in need of more space!
Given the increased demand for in person sessions, I’ll be moving down the street to Junction Health effective June 1st.
The new clinic is lovely and I look forward to more opportunity to meet client needs in person.

What makes therapy effective?
You might be as surprised as I was to discover what the research suggests is the biggest predictor of success in one’s therapeutic journey.
The type of therapy (i.e CBT vs DBT)? Time spent in therapy? How long the therapist has been practicing? The office decor? Type of couch?!
Shockingly, none of the above.
It turns out that the quality of the helping relationship is the key to success. A strong therapeutic alliance between client-therapist is essential to clients getting the most from therapy.
With this in mind, make sure you feel connected to your therapist. Relational factors like trust, mutual understanding, shared goals, and a sense of collaboration should not only be a bonus in working with your therapist, but an absolute must.

My primary interest is in childhood trauma and how this affects clients in adulthood, although I have many years’ experience encountering a variety of presenting issues.
In my practice, I work with people dealing with trauma, depression, anxiety (generalized), stress, anger and emotion dysregulation, relationship issues, infertility, general self discovery and personal growth, and “stuckness” in difficult life transitions.
I work with individual adults (18+) in person and virtually across Ontario and my rate is $140 per session. Generally most employers insurance plans cover psychotherapy in Ontario as a regulated profession. Unfortunately, psychotherapy is not covered by OHIP.

New to therapy or looking to switch therapists? I offer free initial consultations to see if we’re a good fit.
Common questions people tend to ask…
“What’s your approach to helping clients?”
“What’s your experience working with ……?”
“How long have you been doing this?”
As a practitioner, I also like to get a sense of what brings you to therapy, the issues at hand, and what you’re hoping to gain from therapy. I’m always transparent about limitations I may have to helping someone and will refer to my network if I don’t have the expertise to help.

A little about me...
Genuine, non-judgemental, and empathetic by nature, I'm passionate about helping people navigate some of life’s most difficult struggles. My passion for psychotherapy stems from witnessing our resiliency when given the proper support and a safe place to heal.
For over 15 years I've worked in front line counselling roles. Prior to private practice, I worked in provincially-funded social services with marginalized populations battling systemic societal issues and oftentimes in crisis. Although I look back on this experience with gratitude and a humbled lens, I always felt I wasn’t able to do the work I was born to do: sit with people, in their pain, patiently, searching for the answers and moments that will ultimately lead to a sense of inner peace.
In 2018, I returned to school to complete my Master's in Counseling Psychology, and in 2021 I started working full time in private practice.
Today, I work with individual adults (18+) experiencing a variety of presenting issues. I'm particularly interested in how childhood trauma presents in adulthood, but I'm also passionate about helping clients navigate depression, anxiety (generalized), emotion dysregulation, difficult life transitions, relationship issues, and/or those who are seeking an experience in deepening the connection with the self.
