Lets stop pretending that Ford can properly manage any tax payer money.
He cuts vital services and underfunds necessary sectors, just to burn the money on miss-managed projects and non-sense schemes. A train line costing 4x more than comparable European projects, and he doesn’t even want an inquiry to look into how this happened. Is he scared of what we’ll find?
Ontario tax payers who are struggling to make ends meet deserves better.
This summer, we managed to halt the expansion of Billy Bishop Airport together.
But Doug Ford still has control over our Toronto Islands because of Bill 5. Last year we thought it farfetched that he would use these laws the destroy Toronto’s greenspaces, but hindsight is 20/20, and we can see now that was exactly the plan.
The fight to protect our Island and city lands isn’t over until Ford returns them to Toronto. We paused the airport thanks to everyone getting together and organizing. We have to do the same again until Ford leaves Toronto alone.

We won this this first fight to protect our Toronto Islands, but we have to stay vigilant.
The Ford government still has control of these lands and until they’re given back to the city, our schools, wild spaces and public recreation are all still at risk.
This is the government that called tens of thousands of us “fringe” for wanted to preserve these magical spaces.
But this pause on the Billy Bishop expansion shows us that the way we win is together 🤝. The NDP is fighting for what matters to you. I’m hopeful that better is possible.

Many migrant workers have little to no protections from grueling working conditions that only get more difficult as climate change results in rising temperatures and an increase in storms and wildfires.
The NDP is committed to fighting for real worker protections against growing dangers of climate change so that everyone can expect to come home from work safely. We have a plan to keep homes, schools, and work places safe during the hottest days of the year.
There's a a lot to be concerned with when it comes to the Government—corruption, unilateral land grabs, non-existant environmental protections—but it's important to remember that they are on the back foot.
What they are doing isn't popular and they need to hear from all of us, in a united voice. That's how we win better policy for all of us.
Call your MPP and keep calling. Let them know what you think.

Our second annual Summer Ice Cream Party was a huge success!
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to enjoy ice cream, community and good conversations at Swansea Town Hall. Folks came from all over the riding of Parkdale-High Park.
I got to meet so many new faces. If you missed out on it this year, don't worry, we'll be back with ice cream and treats to a neighborhood near you! 🍦

I had so much fun at Parkdale Hall for a benefit concert in support of Parkdale Activity-Recreation Centre. Parkdale really turned out to support. Proud of our community sharing in music to support a good cause.
Every day of the year, for over 45 years, PARC has been there supporting our Parkdale neighbours by providing hot meals, supportive housing, employment supports, and a welcoming community for people facing mental health and substance use challenges, homelessness, poverty, and food insecurity.
Thank you to Not Dead Yet, Shout!, Licentia and PARC for putting this together and the other great work you do.
