Thinking of farmers across the country as fields come to life again. Wishing everyone a smooth and successful seeding season, while keeping an eye on changing weather, taking breaks during long days, and staying safe around equipment.

2025 was a record year for agricultural plastic recycling in Canada. With strong participation from farmers and partners nationwide, Cleanfarms recovered:

✅ 2.5 million kg of pesticide and fertilizer containers
✅ 1.1 million kg of tote bags

In Manitoba, Alberta and Quebec, new collection records were set, and for the first time, small container recycling made its way to Newfoundland.

The 2025 Annual Report also highlights new closed‑loop solutions that turn used farm plastics into new agricultural packaging.

A huge thank you to farmers in Unity, RM of Biggar and RM of Caron (SK) for dropping off used grain bags during the recent blitzes. We know the lines were long at some points, and we thank you for your patience at the drop-offs! Thanks to you, we collected over 995 grain bags for recycling from these events. ♻️

If you still have used grain bags, we want them! Roll them up tightly using a mechanical roller and bring them to an event like these or a permanent collection site near you. Visit csmap.cleanfarms.ca to find a collection site near you.
