🌍 From climate change, war, precarity, and AI, things are changing rapidly. The world may feel heavy right now, but we don’t have to carry that alone.

Join a free, OHIP-funded group for people concerned about the polycrisis - the interconnected crises happening in the human and more-than-human world. Many people are feeling distress around the global state of affairs; and those feelings are key to responding to all of it.

Q***r joy goes beyond a simple feeling, it can stem from radical self-love, authenticity, resilience, community building, or even resistance. There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to q***r joy; it often shows up in different ways for everyone.

Two of our clinicians at Remedy share what q***r joy looks like for them. Dr. Natalie Brown and Matt Eldridge (among many others at Remedy!) practice a q***r-affirming approach to therapy. This approach involves actively recognizing and validating identities, exploring the impacts of intersectionality and stigma, using affirming language, and providing a judgement-free zone to process your unique experiences.

🌈 What does q***r joy mean to you?
🌱 Let’s discuss it in the comments.

📣 Double the shoutouts for Dr. Anne Wagner at ! 💫
We were thrilled to see Anne’s work in psychedelic-assisted couples therapy highlighted in two official conference recaps — including this line from the program:
🗣 “Anne Wagner’s panel is sure to fill up fast…”
And post-session? It did. “A packed house sat enraptured…”
Anne spoke about the importance of structure (“scaffolding”) to help couples return and reflect after psychedelic experiences — a vital insight as the field expands beyond the individual.
We’re proud to be part of this growing movement toward relational healing. 💛

There is an increasing recognition of the insufficient training provided to healthcare professionals in su***de assessment and intervention. This can be true of adequate coverage of this topic in graduate school programs, as well as a lack of professional development opportunities. This training will aim to assist frontline healthcare professionals in further developing their skillset with su***de assessment and intervention

🌱For many, mental health care is inaccessible due to financial and systemic barriers. Our Community Support Program (CSP) provides 1-on-1 therapy for artists, people who identify as 2SLGBTQ+, BIPOC, and youth who cannot otherwise access treatment. Since its inception, CSP has delivered over 390 hours of therapy, giving recipients the chance to heal and grow.

At Remedy Institute we believe that access to mental health care is not a privilege but a right. This program fills critical gaps in the system by ensuring both clients and therapists are supported financially.

🌈🤗Help us ensures mental health care is accessible and equitable.
