Jimmy Yitty

Community minded the “Yitty” in his name stands for York. A nickname for York or East York where hails from. Drawing primary inspiration from Mobb Deep, Nas, Raekwon, Kool G Rap and Big L, Jimmy saw music change and opened his mind to develop himself further by using the examples of Kanye West and Lil’ Wayne to adjust his sense of style and fashion. His recent musical influences include Chief Keef, ScHoolBoy Q and Playboi Carti. Musically diverse Jimmy Yitty can deliver some of the hardest bars you’ve ever heard or sing you to sleep. Jimmy has opened for legends like Freeway, Xaiver Wulf and Canadian legend Snak The Ripper. In 2015 his debut EP Glass of Chardonnay, which was entirely produced by The Kount made a top 30 newcomers list on boi-1da.net. A lot of coverage for his singles and albums came in that same year. Drawing from the raw spirit of the streets of the past and emboldened by the music of today, Jimmy believes in a “work over clout” mantra. Only choosing to promote, speak and work in tangibles. In his music, nothing is invented. He draws on real life experiences and integrity rather than embellishment to explain his point of view.
