Elmbank's first sweet potato harvest! Pulled this one early as a tester and will be roasting these teeny tiny sweeties tonight! Highly recommend growing your own sweet potatoes in your backyard! Great as cascading vine foliage in planters or let them trail around in your garden. Just chop up some sweet potato from the grocery store, pop it in the soil and voila!
Doin the carrot shuffle over here today at Elmbank, learning that carrots don't always come out straight...but still taste great!

to LAST week when we finally got the signs up that Mr.Anderson's class made for the garden at Elmbank! My personal favorite is the "beans" interpretation :)! Also! Harvesting peas is in full swing! Kids eating golden snow peas for the first time has been a big hit!

For the last few weeks, gardener Natalie has been working on painting some picnic tables with students at Elmbank, and today is finally assembly day! It was a girl-power kind of recess as these girls helped Natalie drill and assemble all the pieces! So happy with the result of table #1!
