Scout

Some of us are very into fall, and our October staff picks definitely show it lol.

We have soooo many new fall arrivals that they couldn’t all make the list, but this is a pretty good selection. Pop by the shops to see all the new goodies!

Hands up if October is your fave month🙋🏻‍♀️Changing leaves, getting cozy as the days and nights cool down, lighting your favourite vibey candle, and of course Halloween 👻

What’s your favourite part of October?

Sept 30 is the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation🧡
For settlers, it’s a day to pause and honour the survivors, families, and communities affected by residential schools across Canada. Many Indigenous communities still feel the repercussions from the horrific abuses that occurred at Residential Schools. Did you know the last residential school didn’t close until 1996? Finding ways to support and uplift Indigenous communities year-round, while also educating yourself to better understand this part of our history, is essential to genuine reconciliation.

The 94 Calls to Action provide a roadmap for change, but ongoing support is needed for change to become reality. We believe that learning together and taking action, however small, can make a real difference. This work is ongoing. Every child matters🧡

The shops will be open 11-4 tomorrow for community hours and we will be donating all net profits made in store and online on Sept 30th to IRSSS.

Swipe through for some ways non-Indigenous folks can participate in this day of Truth + Reconciliation and see our link in bio for more resources and events to honour the survivors🧡
