A perfect way to spend Halloween - Watch the Blue Jays clinch the world series, while drinking the “fall” drink- Pumpkin Spice Steamer and eating Halloween candy!

PUMPKIN SPICE STEAMER
INGREDIENTS::
• 1 cup milk of your choice
• 2 tablespoons pumpkin purée
• 1 tablespoon maple syrup
• 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice (or cinnamon + nutmeg mix)
• 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract + whipped cream or cinnamon for topping
DIRECTIONS:
In a small saucepan, whisk together milk, pumpkin purée, maple syrup, and pumpkin pie spice. Warm over medium heat (don’t boil), whisking until smooth and steamy. Stir in vanilla, pour into a mug, and top with whipped cream or a sprinkle of cinnamon.
NOTES: Prefer a Latte? Add Espresso (1/2 cup) to the recipe above.
Prefer an alcoholic version? Just make sure that you’re not going to drive.

Phishing and Fraud
Scammers are getting more sophisticated. In the past 3 weeks, I have had a number of texts, phone calls and emails posing as my “bank”.
In “Ye olden days”, you could differentiate the scammers from the real companies easily. The logos were not quite “right” and the language was not perfect. Not true any more.
Do NOT take anyone’s word as true. If it is a text or email do NOT respond. Choose another means of checking that this is really from the presumptive sender. In my case I called the banks’ 1-800 number on my bank card. If it’s a phone call, tell them that you will need to call them back and call the the banks’ 1-800 number on your bank card. ALL of the approaches to me were scammers.
Please protect yourselves.
