It was now time to get more serious about airflow and power. I had to move the mining setup from the house it was getting ridiculous and things were not slowing down. I decided to section off a room from my cabinet shop and use the 100 amps available at my fingertips. Another rig was added to the farm before the shelving unit could get installed. Good old Ethereum mining days!

As fast as I finished rig 1 I was onto rig 2. I still had some of the shelving unit left over so I built a replica white rig frame with matching rgb fans because why not? I wanted this to look good as I stare at it for hours.

Made from a free shelving unit, I put some extra care into my first rig frame because I was pretty excited about the whole thing. Quick coat of white paint for looks and some rgb style fans for cooling and it was ready for the equipment to be installed. All together and ready to fire it up, this was exciting times.

It was April, 2021. I had no idea how to mine and less idea of which GPU to start with. The budget was very low to get started so I bought 4-MSI p106-100’s used off another miner for approx $300 CAD each which put me over 100 MH on ETH.

April 19, 2021 I received my first order of computer parts for my first mining rig build. I was super excited to begin my crypto mining journey and learn everything to do with cryptocurrency.
