⚾ Cal Ripken Jr. at Camden Yards — A Baltimore Baseball Legend

Take a look at the Cal Ripken Jr. statue outside Oriole Park at Camden Yards, honoring one of the most important players in Baltimore Orioles and MLB history.

Known as “The Iron Man,” Ripken played an incredible 2,632 consecutive games, a record that still stands as one of the greatest durability achievements in professional sports.

But Ripken was much more than the streak.

Over 21 seasons, all with Baltimore, he finished with 3,184 hits, 431 home runs, 1,695 RBI, 19 All-Star selections, two American League MVP Awards and a 1983 World Series championship.

For Orioles fans, Ripken represents loyalty, consistency, toughness and an era when one player truly became the face of a franchise.

His statue at Camden Yards is a fitting tribute to a Hall of Famer who helped define Baltimore baseball for generations.

👀 What do you remember most about Cal Ripken Jr. — the Iron Man streak, 3,000 hits, the Orioles, or something else?

Two championships. One of the greatest eras in Toronto Blue Jays history. ⚾

Hanging outside Rogers Centre in Toronto, the 1992 and 1993 World Series championship banners are a permanent reminder of the back-to-back titles that changed the Blue Jays franchise forever.

In 1992, Toronto defeated the Atlanta Braves in six games to capture the first World Series championship in franchise history. It was also a historic moment for Canadian baseball, as the Blue Jays became the first team based outside the United States to win the World Series.

Then came 1993.

Toronto returned to the Fall Classic against the Philadelphia Phillies and once again finished the job in six games. The ending became one of the most iconic moments in Major League Baseball history when Joe Carter hit his walk-off home run in Game 6 at SkyDome, sending Toronto into celebration and giving the Blue Jays back-to-back championships.

Those teams were loaded with memorable names, including Joe Carter, Roberto Alomar, Dave Winfield, Paul Molitor, John Olerud and Devon White, and they helped turn the Blue Jays into a team followed by baseball fans across Canada.

More than three decades later, those 1992 and 1993 banners still mean something every time you see them at the Rogers Centre.

For longtime Blue Jays fans, they bring back memories of championship baseball. For younger fans, they’re a reminder of the standard this franchise has reached before — and hopes to reach again.

Blue Jays fans — which championship is more memorable to you: 1992 or 1993? 👇

⚾ That arm angle is something you don’t see every day.

Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Trey Yesavage has quickly become one of the most interesting young arms in baseball, and this pitch against the Washington Nationals at Nationals Park gives you a great look at what makes his delivery so different.

Yesavage comes at hitters with an unusually high, over-the-top arm slot, creating a release point and pitch trajectory that looks noticeably different from most MLB pitchers. It’s part of what makes his fastball and splitter such an interesting combination for hitters to deal with.

And he was dealing in Washington.

Yesavage allowed just one run on three hits over 6 2/3 innings as the Blue Jays defeated the Nationals 5-2, continuing to establish himself as an important part of Toronto’s young pitching core.

His rise has been incredible to watch. After being selected by Toronto in the first round of the 2024 MLB Draft, Yesavage raced through the minors and reached the Major Leagues in 2025. Then came his unforgettable 2025 World Series performance against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

In Game 5, Yesavage struck out 12 Dodgers over seven innings, setting the World Series record for strikeouts by a rookie in a single game.

From top prospect to World Series record-setter to a regular in the Toronto Blue Jays rotation, Trey Yesavage’s journey has moved fast.

🎥 Watch the arm angle on this pitch closely. Would you want to step into the box against that delivery?

When Louis Varland comes through the bullpen doors at Rogers Centre, Blue Jays fans know exactly what it means — it’s closing time. 🔥⚾

The Toronto Blue Jays right-hander has been one of the biggest bullpen stories of the 2026 season, stepping into the closer role and turning it into one of the best years of his career.

Varland entered this season without a career save, but his combination of upper-90s velocity, strikeout ability and confidence in high-pressure situations has quickly made him one of Toronto’s most trusted late-inning arms. His performance has also earned him his first MLB All-Star selection.

His path to becoming a closer has been anything but ordinary. Varland began his Major League career with the Minnesota Twins, worked as both a starter and reliever, and was acquired by the Blue Jays at the 2025 trade deadline. Since coming to Toronto, he has continued to evolve into an important part of the Blue Jays bullpen.

And there’s something different about watching a closer enter at Rogers Centre.

The music hits. The crowd gets louder. The pressure rises. Everyone in the building knows the final outs are about to matter.

Varland has embraced that role and given Toronto a hard-throwing option capable of shutting the door when the game is on the line.

Blue Jays fans — how confident are you when Louis Varland gets the call in the ninth inning?

This is what a Trea Turner home run looks like from the outfield seats. 🔥⚾

Philadelphia Phillies star Trea Turner gets all of this one at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, launching a home run against the Baltimore Orioles while fans in the outfield get a perfect view of the ball leaving the yard.

Turner has built an outstanding MLB career around a rare combination of speed, power and hitting ability. He has more than 200 career home runs, 300+ stolen bases and 3,000+ total bases while becoming one of the most important players in the Phillies lineup.

Philadelphia made a major commitment to Turner, and when he’s at his best, he can impact a game in almost every way — getting on base, stealing bags, driving the ball and changing momentum with one swing.

There’s something different about watching a home run from the stands instead of on TV. You see the swing, track the ball and hear the crowd reaction all at once.

Phillies fans — how important is Trea Turner to Philadelphia’s chances of making another deep postseason run?

⚾ Toronto Blue Jays Home Run History at Camden Yards

One of the coolest things to find at Oriole Park at Camden Yards is the collection of bronze Eutaw Street home run markers — and the Toronto Blue Jays have four of them.

This video from 24K Sports takes a look at the exact landing spots of home runs hit by Carlos Delgado, Eric Hinske, Eric Thames and Colby Rasmus.

💥 Carlos Delgado — 415 feet (1998)
💥 Eric Hinske — 385 feet (2004)
💥 Eric Thames — 410 feet (2012)
💥 Colby Rasmus — 399 feet (2014)

Each marker represents a different era of Blue Jays baseball and connects Toronto history with one of the most famous ballparks in Major League Baseball.

Delgado’s 415-foot blast came during one of his great seasons in Toronto. Hinske’s marker represents the early-2000s Blue Jays, while the Thames and Rasmus home runs came during the José Bautista and Edwin Encarnación era, just before Toronto returned to the postseason in 2015.

For Blue Jays fans visiting Baltimore, Eutaw Street turns into a small baseball treasure hunt.

📍 If you could add one more Toronto Blue Jays player to the Eutaw Street list, who would you choose?

Watch the video, check out all four markers and let us know your favourite in the comments.
