Hello! Welcome to OISE's Sustainability & Climate Action Network. We are helping to create a culture of sustainability at OISE.
The Environmental and Sustainability Education (ESE) Initiative is to provide resources and information for educators to better integrate ESE in their teaching and learning. The ESE Initiative is a community for all to share ideas, resources and events, so please post relevant information on this page! Visit our website and twitter for upcoming events, resources and professional development opportunities for teachers, teacher candidates, and community members! ABOUT ESE
The ESE Initiative aims to broaden and deepen support for OISE’s institutional goal of Social and Ecological Responsibility and help to establish OISE as a leader of the integration of ESE into Teacher Education programs in Ontario. It provides a nexus for ESE-related groups at OISE, such as the Sustainability Action Committee, the ESE Working Group, the Environmental Leadership Circle, and the ESE Grad Student Group, to share information, co-develop events and programs, and work towards a greater level of sustainability in all that OISE does.

On the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day we remember the survivors of residential schools and we remember the children who never returned home.
As we reflect, we think to the 2015 Truth and Reconciliation Commission:
“Reconciliation between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal Canadians, from an Aboriginal perspective, also requires reconciliation with the natural world… Reconciliation will never occur unless we are also reconciled with the earth.” National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation
Let us renew our commitments to both Land and the Peoples upon it. 🧡
