Michael Block's life has been turned upside down. In a week as an anonymous stars and stripes golf instructor, the 46-year-old professional has become a case in golf. His story is so beautiful that a sacred monster like Michael Jordan called him to congratulate him.

The 15th place at the PGA Championship, complete with a hole-in-one on the 15th hole, changed the life of Michael Block who ten days ago was thinking only of lessons on the driving range at the Arroyo Trabuco Club in Mission Viejo (California). His story has now gone around the world and hasn't gone unnoticed even by Michael Jordan. NBA legend, golf enthusiast and owner of a country club, The Grove XXIII, Jordan sent a message to Block.

To reveal its contents the same Block. “It's crazy, I've always been a huge fan of Michael Jordan and I can't explain the happiness after his gesture. He told me what he did last week is one of the reasons he loves golf. And I told him that I can't wait to play 36 holes with him,” he explained. Block later admitted: "As a kid in Iowa, I used to save a hundred dollars to buy myself a pair of Jordans."

Meanwhile, Block is about to return to the field. From today he will be at the start of the Charles Schwab Challenge, a PGA Tour tournament that will be played at Colonial Country in Fort Worth, Texas. With him all the big names in world golf, starting with his compatriot Scottie Scheffler, who has returned to number one in the world

Witnessing the level of popularity achieved by this master there is also a maxi-bid for the 7 iron. With that club Michael made a hole-in-one on the 15th hole (par 3 of 151 yards) at the Oak Country Club of Rochester. Someone put a whopping $50,000 on the table.

Serbian NBA superstar Nikola Jokic is refusing to put himself in the same league as Novak Djokovic as he highlighted the tennis star is the ultimate ambassador for Serbia.

Jokic, 28, is widely considered among the best players in the NBA, having won back-to-back NBA MVP awards in 2021 and 2022 before just narrowly missing out on the award for the third consecutive year earlier this month.

On Monday night, Jokic had another brilliant performance as his Denver Nuggets completed a sweep of the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals.

After the game, a reporter asked Jokic about Djokovic and their impact on Serbian kids.

"I don't have his number, to be honest, but he is the guy who represents Serbia in a much bigger scene. He is a Serbian ambassador. He’s really an idol to the kids in Serbia and not just on the court, but in the things his foundation is doing. He is the guy you can look up to, I want to be like him. He's doing something great for kids, for Serbia, for everything. We cannot be compared," Jokic said, via Sportskeeda.

Djokovic shown respect by Jokic, Holger Rune

Jokic has been through to the NBA Finals, while Djokovic will attempt to win a record 23rd Grand Slam at the French Open.

Last week, Djokovic suffered a Rome quarterfinal loss to Holger Rune.

Djokovic hasn't won any titles during this year's clay season but Rune said the Serb will still be the man to beat at the French Open.

“I still think Novak is the main favourite for the event. He’s the one with the most Slams of who’s playing, the most experienced. Then we have Alcaraz. We have Medvedev. We have a lot of guys. I think if I have to pick one favourite, I’ll probably pick Novak. But it’s more open as we don’t have Rafa this year. For sure [Medvedev] has been showing some good signs in this clay season, playing better and better. For sure I think he is one of the favourites," Rune said of Djokovic.
