YMI Dancing 2023 Performance: "reflecting connections" Pia Bouman School's dance company YMI Dancing is back for its 2023 performance!

Our 2023 showcase! Dancers of the company are PBS senior students and, as company members, they have a chance to choreograph.

This year's program features works by YMI members - Cadence Parsons, and Martina Tsebelis, student work by Anthea Giesbrecht w. Sophia Goodchild-Chan as well as work by Danielle Denichaud (YMI Company teacher), and Pia Bouman (PBS Artistic Director).

Hi Everyone! Since August, three of our senior company members have been creating their own choreographic pieces on the company. On October 26th at 7pm, we will be having an informal showing of the pieces in the Scotiabank Studio Theatre at Pia Bouman School. This event is FREE! Can't wait to see you there!

Calling all dancers ages 11 and up! YMI Dancing is holding our company auditions for the 2018/2019 season this Thursday, May 17th from 4:45pm-6:15pm at Pia Bouman Studio, 6 Noble St. Registration opens at 4:30pm, $25 audition fee.

YMI Dancing is a pre-professional company that provides dancers with training and performance opportunities throughout Toronto and the GTA.

The view from backstage is not near as nice as it is from the audience. Just finished a run of our dress rehearsal this evening, we open tomorrow night at 8pm. Can’t wait to see you there!

Day 2 of tech rehearsal finished! Tomorrow we have our dress rehearsal, and then opening night! Can’t wait to show the incredible pieces these dancers have been working on!

We’re counting down to our opening night, only 4 more days! We kicked off this evening with our first tech rehearsal for Julia Male’s piece “Building a ladder to the moon”.
