As a creative, finding purpose over the past two years has been difficult. Too often I sought to share my work for the sake of recognition. But that purpose was not fulfilling enough. Then I sought opportunities to monetize my skills, and went as far as opening a photo studio. Even that satisfied me to short measure. I began to doubt myself and my capabilities, falling into imposter syndrome. I thought to set my camera aside for good.

Last week, I sat down and took a look at some of my unpublished work, and realized what a waste it would be not to share. I realized what a waste it would be to let my creativity and my hard earned skills fade.

These feelings make me realize that the greatest purpose of creating art is to do it for the souls desire to express itself. To take it a step further, creating art with others results in collective expression of souls. This is my new purpose.

With this mindset, I’m proud to share some of my work from the past two years, starting with this photo of my dear friend Ruchi.
