🚨 BREAKING: Real estate is NOT crashing. You can unclench.

Take a breath. Seriously. In through the nose… out through the mouth… there you go.

The average 5-year fixed mortgage over the last 40 years sits above 5%. We’re currently chilling in the mid 4’s — that’s below average, people.

Now yes, bond yields are climbing 📈, inflation is lurking like that one relative who never leaves, and gas prices are doing their usual villain arc…
BUT — the last time we saw this exact cocktail of chaos? The Canadian government cut mortgage rates to ease the cost of living.

So maybe — just maybe — the sky isn’t falling. Maybe Chicken Little needs a nap. Let’s see how this plays out before we burn it all down, yeah?

On October 23 the Bank of Canada decreased the overnight rate for the fourth consecutive time in 6 months. In addition, changes to insured mortgages and the amortization period of mortgages for first time buyers means opportunities are abundant in the real estate world.
