Stratus Restaurant

A new menu has landed at Stratus, 36 floors above the Financial District.

To start, Salmon Tartare with preserved lemon aioli, or Grilled & Chilled Gulf Shrimp with grape and almond salad.

Then the mains. Braised Beef Short Rib with charred corn and salsa roja. Lamb Meatloaf over artichoke and eggplant caponata. Albacore Tuna & White Bean Salad. Curry Chicken Salad with mango chutney and grilled ancient grain sourdough. Grilled King Oyster Mushroom on Thai red rice, vegan and gluten free.

Stratus hosts private events 36 floors above the city, and the Ontario AAA beef sliders are usually the first tray to empty. The room has floor-to-ceiling views of the city and harbour, with space that runs from a ten-seat table in the Wine Room to a full buyout for two hundred.

The cocktails at Stratus come off a rotating feature list curated by Bishal Dasgupta. The Division Bell pairs mezcal with Aperol and a touch of maraschino. The Old Smokey leans on whisky and crème de cassis with an apple shrub underneath. Best ordered by the windows, with the harbour and islands beneath you.

Lunch at Stratus, thirty-six floors above the Financial District. The braised beef short rib arrives over a ragout of garlic roasted fingerling potatoes and charred corn, finished with salsa roja. Guests come for the view but come back for the food. Who could blame them?

Thank you to everyone who came out to our Spring member cocktail party. Just over 200 members and staff joined us for the evening, with food, drinks, specialty cocktails, and plenty of good conversation.

No speeches, no agenda, just a few hours to catch up with the people you see around the Club. That’s how these nights always go, and it’s why we keep hosting them.
