Thanks to the generosity and talent of our Master Electrician we now have our name, SAUDADE, on our shop! One day when I walked in to the shop to price books, Rob hanging our lighting asked me what we were thinking for signage. I told him maybe a canopy with our name one day but it would have to wait once we opened and saved some money. Rob showed me an image of our logo on the shop front and said he could create this out of wood for the shop. I loved what I saw but said we couldn’t afford anything at the moment and he replied it would be his gift to the team! ♥️🥺

THANK YOU for an incredible soft opening week! The retail shop is open today at 11:00 AM but the cafe counter is closed today. The demand for the breakfast sandwich far exceeded our supply. Our Caldo Verde sandwich will be back on the weekend 🥰. Obrigada! We need a day to train staff and will be back tomorrow at 8:00 AM with coffee and treats. “Bica” is a Portuguese word for espresso in some regions of Portugal. ♥️ 📸 from

Wow! Wow! Wowwwwww!!! THANK YOUUUU very much for all the love and support you showed us yesterday!!!! The line ups were long and we ran out of Pasteis de Natas two hours after opening but you were so understanding & kind. Thankfully William dropped off more pastries, the sun kept shining and the beautiful energy you brought filled our hearts with joy. We open today at 10:00 AM and can’t wait to see you. ♥️
