🍂FALL GUIDE TO MUSKOKA🍁 (with lots of hidden gems!)

📌SAVE this post for Ontario travel inspo

Muskoka is one of the most beautiful destinations in Ontario during the fall season. The red, orange, and yellow colours line the back country roads and hiking trails and it’s quite magical to see. We put together a list of must-do activities, restaurants, and where to stay when visiting the Huntsville area in Muskoka.

HIKES:
🍁Hunters Bay Trail in Huntsville - beautiful hike with boardwalks and great views of the fall colours.

🍁Limberlost Forest and Wildlife Reserve - Here you will find 12 hiking trails. Our favourite is the Solitaire Lake Loop where you will find boardwalks, bridges, and cave/cliff formations along the water.

ACTIVITIES:
🍁Visit Sandhill Nursery and pumpkin patch to see the most aesthetic fall set up you can imagine. They have fun activities for kids, it’s a great spot for families. Plan to pick up all you fall decor here, they even have a furniture store.

🍁Take a drive up to Lion’s lookout to take in the scenery overlooking Huntsville.

WHERE TO EAT:
🍁Breakfast - Erika’s in Dorset or Affogato in Huntsville

🍁Lunch - Farmer’s Daughter in Huntsville for a quick and healthy bite.

🍁Dinner - Tall Trees in Huntsville. The food and service is top notch, and has a cozy atmosphere perfect for fall nights. TIP: book a reso to ensure you get a table at this popular restaurant.

WHERE TO STAY:
🍁Raven’s Roost Treehouse in Dorset. It’s close to lots of fall activities (i.e. walking distance to the Dorset Lookout Tower). Plus this treehouse is the perfect place to surround yourself in fall colours.
