Important Announcement!
The Persistent Stain are sorry to have to announce that we will not be able to appear at the Ottawa Fringe this June as planned.
We know. It sucks for us, too. We’ll get the band back together and kick out the jams for y’all, sometime soon, we promise. Meanwhile, thank you for understanding that not even punk can’t fix everything.
In our time slot, will be performing the multi-award-winning “Dressed as People – a Triptych of Uncanny Abduction,” instead – so please show us the love by checking that out. (More info soon!)
Thanks friends and fans!
PS - Aristotle is still a d*ck, nothing changes that

About Dressed As People
A school haunted by troubled children; an encounter with the unknown on open waters; the mysterious disappearance of a friend. Three characters; three time periods; three tales of abduction and the intrusion of the uncanny into the lives of those who are taken, those who do the taking, and those who are left behind.
Multi award-winning theatre creator Margo MacDonald teams up with multi award-winning Speculative Fiction writers A.M. Dellamonica, Amal El-Mohtar and Kelly Robson for this chilling new work. Directed by Mary Ellis and designed by Laura Wheeler (Lights & Set) and Alli Harris (Sound).
Kelly Robson, “Skinless”
In 1989, while teaching Canadian Literature at a university in Edmonton, a nun reveals her past as a young instructor at a haunted school full of troubled children in 1950s Ireland.
Amal El-Mohtar, “The Shape of My Teeth”
In 1827, a woman reflects on her best friend’s mysterious disappearance in Mortimer Forest on the Welsh border. She refuses to be left behind.
A.M. Dellamonica, “Repositioning”
In 2021, a seasoned entertainer on the le***an cruise circuit grapples with memories of an encounter with the unknown in 2018 while on a Pacific Ocean repositioning cruise headed to Vancouver, B.C. from Sydney, Australia.
“A fascinating mosaic of the mysteries that lie just beyond the edges of our natural world…If you’re a sci-fi or speculative fiction fan, this’ll be one for you — powerful words in the mouth of a masterful storyteller.”
– Aishling Murphy, Intermission Magazine
