A "brand refresh" does nothing to improve the quantity and quality of leads.
Is this controversial? I have never seen any measurable improvement in sales after changing the corporate font.

In is critical. But it has to be REAL differentiation on a criteria that customers care about.

Lots of companies have recently instituted a return to office (RTO) policy. Many employees are unhappy about this. Working from home has tons of benefits and the commute back to work sucks.

A balanced minimal viable product (MVP) is the holy grail in lean startup method. But so few companies achieve this.

They go to one or the other extreme. Either the product is lacking any valuable functionality. So nobody wants to buy it.

Or the product is feature packed. But the risk is that it is not useful. Because product development happened without getting enough feedback from users.

Being in is the best skill to have right now… Every other skill set is going to be secondary to creativity;

Artificial Intelligence will take over jobs that involve routine tasks or transactions. But roles which demand creativity will continue to depend on humans. B2B marketing roles for complex products fall in this category. However, the people who are in these marketing roles must be creative. The level of creativity required is much more than designing a new logo.

Companies would do well to hire marketing people who are creative. Test for creativity. Train your existing marketers to be more creative. Being creative in B2B marketing is the new meta skill. Creativity in marketing is one of the few ways to differentiate in B2B. Jack Trout said it best – “differentiate or die“.
