Today, October 4, we honour the National Day of Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Two-Spirit People. ❤️

We stand alongside Indigenous families and communities in remembrance, solidarity and the continued call for justice and meaningful change.

Every person deserves to feel safe, valued and protected in their community. Today is a reminder of the work that remains and the importance of continuing to listen, learn and advocate.

May their voices, lives and stories never be forgotten.

ADHD Awareness Month is a reminder that every child and young person deserves to be understood, supported, and loved as they are.

Every mind is different. Children and youth with ADHD may learn, focus, move, and express themselves in their own ways, and they deserve room to do that without feeling they have to hide who they are.

At BGC Thompson, we embrace different minds and celebrate the strengths, ideas, energy, and individuality each young person brings. We’re here to offer encouragement, understanding, and a place where they can belong.

To every child and young person with ADHD: you are valued, you are loved, and you belong here exactly as you are. 💚💙💛

Every child who never came home was someone’s whole world. A child with a name, a family, a community, and a future that should have been theirs. 🧡

On the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, we hold those children in our hearts. We honour Survivors, the families who waited for children to return, and the communities who continue to carry this loss.

At BGC Thompson, we are trusted to care for children and youth. That responsibility asks us to listen to the truth, and help every young person feel safe, valued, and supported.

We will keep learning. We will keep listening. And we will carry that responsibility into the days after September 30.
