✨❤️ We want to hear your story ❤️✨

Have you adopted from the SPCA Swift Current? Whether it's been 10 weeks or 10 years, we want to hear your Success Story. We'd love to see how your furry family member is doing today.

One of the hardest parts of shelter work, but equally the most rewarding, is sending our animals off to their forever homes. We pour our hearts into every animal that comes through our doors, and nothing brings us more joy than seeing them thriving in their forever homes.

Share a photo, tell us a little about their personality, and let us know how they're doing. Your updates remind us why we do what we do, plus they brighten the day of our staff, volunteers, and supporters.

📸 Email your photos and stories to [email protected], or send us a DM. We can't wait to celebrate your happy ending with you! ❤️🐶🐱

🎉🐾 WE'VE FETCHED $5.5 MILLION! 🐾🎉

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our community, we have officially raised $5.5 million toward our $7.5 million Homeward Bound Capital Campaign for the new Stauber Family Memorial Animal Shelter!

This milestone belongs to every donor, volunteer, supporter, business, and animal lover who has believed in this project. Together, you're helping create a brighter future for animals across Southwest Saskatchewan.

But we're not done yet.

We still have $2 million to go to fully equip, furnish, and open the shelter so we can expand our capacity to care for animals in need for generations to come.

🐾 Ways to Help Fetch Our Goal:
• Donate any amount today
• $1,000+ = Permanent recognition on our Founding Donor Wall as a Partner
• $5,000+ = Companion Level donor wall recognition and a significant impact on the campaign
• $10,000+ = Limited room naming opportunities available for individuals, families, and businesses looking to leave a lasting mark on this once-in-a-generation project

The building is real. Construction is nearing completion. The dream is becoming a reality.

Help us fetch the final $2 million and be part of the legacy that changes animal welfare in Southwest Saskatchewan forever.

Hello, I'm Peanut 🥜💗🐾

I'm a 9-year-old little lady, and I'm a little new around here. I really enjoy the humans here, they show lots of love and i soak it all up. I'm not particularly fond of the other cats at this very moment, so i mostly just keep to myself. My ideal home would be just me and my humans, maybe a dog if we got along, relaxing on the couch and just enjoying eachothers company.

If you think I would be a good fit for your home, why not come meet me?

A gift from the heart can leave a lasting impact for generations to come. ❤️

SPCA Swift Current would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Barbara Lindsay for generously sponsoring the Reception Area in our new shelter facility as part of the Homeward Bound Capital Campaign.

After spending 14 wonderful years with their beloved little dog Chaz, Barb and her late partner Denis decided to honor his memory in a way that would continue making a difference for animals and the people who love them. Barb adores that pets give unconditional love and truly become part of the family - something anyone who has loved an animal understands deeply.

The Reception Area will be one of the first spaces visitors experience when entering the new shelter. Unlike our current facility, this upgraded space will provide a more welcoming, organized, and private environment for adoptions, lost and found reunions, community support, volunteer coordination, and daily operations. It will help create a calmer and more positive experience for both people and animals.

Barb’s impact on the SPCA goes well beyond this meaningful donation. As a past Board of Directors volunteer who plans to continue volunteering in the future, it’s clear how much she values both animal welfare and the people who dedicate their time to helping animals in need.

Through this sponsorship, the memories of Denis and Chaz will continue to live on in a space that will welcome thousands of animals, adopters, volunteers, and community members for years to come. It is a beautiful tribute to a love that never truly leaves us.

Thank you, Barb, for helping create a brighter future for animals in our community. 🐾

Hello, I’m Prada!

I’m a 9 month old girl with a big personality and an even bigger love for playtime. I’m a friendly, outgoing kitty who loves meeting new people and turning just about anything into a toy. Whether I’m chasing balls, batting around toys, or zooming around the room, I’m always ready for fun.

When I’m all tuckered out from playing, I’m happy to come hang out with my people and soak up some attention. I’m still young, curious, and learning about the world, so I’m looking for a family that’s ready for lots of laughs, love, and kitten energy.

If you’re looking for a sweet and playful companion, I might just be your perfect match!
