Power Equine

I am sharing this for anyone who would be interested in watching the first hour of the Rescued Hearts Documentary. It’s available worldwide coming up Dec 6-7!

On the weekend I attended a screening of in Strathmore hosted by none other than .This documentary is amazing as it shares so many incredible stories of how horses have changed people’s lives and helped them heal in profound ways. They share so many different modalities as well from therapeutic riding to liberty to Equine Assisted Learning. This film is affirming for the work that Power Equine has offered and has inspired me to keep going. If you are interested in learning more about this documentary you can follow them on FB or IG. We said goodbye to another member of Power Equines welcoming committee earlier this week - our sweet Buffy. She absolutely loved to be included in Power Equine EAL sessions! She looked like a fierce guard dog but was the sweetest, kindest German Shepherd. Her presence is missed and I’m sharing these picts to honour her memory. There is a time for everything and it was her time. ♥️

🪽💎In Honour of Jewel 🪽💎

Many of you who came to Power Equine EAL sessions had the special privilege of meeting and working with Jewel. Her grounded and calm presence helped guide many through their journey and brought joy and smiles to so many. She had the biggest heart and a quiet gentleness that made everyone feel safe and confident.

Jewel unexpectedly left this world earlier this week to be with her baby in greener pastures and a much better place. Watching her move into the role as an EAL horse was a blessing and I was so proud to be able to offer sessions with her.

My favourite memory of her is when she was off lead and she was nudging Jake from behind and encouraging him to keep moving forward. ♥️ That’s the lesson I’m going to take away. It’s a harsh reminder that time waits for no one and we must keep moving forward. Thanks for the lessons, love and joy that you brought to so many people. What a gift you were to this world and your Spirit will live on with us. 💔♥️

There have been many horse changes at Power Equine over the last few months! Meet Strut and Razzle 🤩 These two firecrackers will be working with a group from The Meadows over the next 6 weeks. We had our first session today and it went fabulous!! Huge thanks to Barb Thick and Emily Stenson for trusting me with your minis! They might be small but they have large personalities!!

🐴Swift Current and area friends!! 🐴

I am looking to ‘borrow’ a couple minis for my EAL program for a 6 week session starting in May. Ideally, they would be well mannered and love be to be around people as they would be working with a group of Seniors. They would be well fed and taken care of and have a meaningful job to do. This type of work does not suit all horses but if you have a miniature that you think would be a good fit please let me know. I am down a couple program horses this year and do not want another full time herd member so would really appreciate any offers. Please feel free to message me! Thank you!!!
