Thrive is a Fitness Studio that focuses on motivating, inspiring and empowering. We offer spinning, We are NOT a ‘gym’, and proud of it. So how are we different?

Thrive is literally, a movement. We are a supportive and positive community, believing that you are capable of anything you set your mind to. (and will help you do so!). Life is too short to just ‘survive’, we believe you can THRIVE and live to your full potential! We: build relationships with you! We get to know YOU. We call you by name, learn what you are capable of, and know how to gently nudge you out of your comfort zone to achieve what you never thought possible. We: hold you accountable. We sit down with you at the beginning to set realistic and exciting goals, and keep track of your progress regularly on your journey to be better, physically and mentally. We: are positive, motivating and highly encouraging. We believe in you, even if you don’t….yet! We: have a variety of classes and programs that will keep you moving, at YOUR ability level. Our trained professionals are focused on safety, moving with proper form and technique. You will ALWAYS ‘fit in’. We: have no high pressure sales or quotas to meet. Period! We know you will love being part of a positive community. We: have a blast! We laugh, and consider ourselves blessed to share in your both your successes and challenges. Thrive is not about how you look, but how you FEEL when you move, and realizing your full potential. We help you realize what you are capable of. We all need a little help sometimes.

Last weeks Friday email touched base on
WHY SLOW IS ACTUALLY BETTER:

Slow change gives your body time to adapt without injury. It builds real habits instead of temporary discipline. It preserves muscle, which rapid weight loss almost always sacrifices. It's sustainable because if you can't imagine maintaining your current approach for five years, it's too extreme. And it builds confidence that lasts because it's rooted in consistent effort, not quick wins.

I’m excited to share that I’ve been invited as one of 18+ experts in the Menopausal Weight Loss Breakthrough summit! 🎉

Hosted by Linda Johnson, this free 14-day summit tackles the real challenges women face around weight, energy, and body changes during menopause, and I couldn’t turn down the chance to be part of it!

My interview dives into something I think every woman in this stage of life needs to hear: it’s never too late to build real strength. Not the kind that just changes how you look, but the kind that changes how you feel and move through your body every day.

It’s free to join, running August 3 to 16.

List of ways to stay cool exercising in the heat:

Here are practical tips to help you stay cool and exercise safely in hot weather:

Before Your Workout:

Drink water throughout the day, not just right before you exercise.

Start well hydrated (your urine should be pale yellow).

Exercise early in the morning or later in the evening when temperatures are lower if the heat effects you.

Check the heat index and avoid strenuous exercise during extreme heat.

Eat a light meal or snack 1–2 hours before your workout.

Wear light-colored, loose-fitting, moisture-wicking clothing.

During Your Workout:

Slow your pace and reduce intensity if it's hotter than usual.

Take frequent water breaks (every 15–20 minutes).

Replace electrolytes during longer workouts (60+ minutes) or if you're sweating heavily.

Listen to your body—don't push through excessive fatigue.

After Your Workout:

Cool down gradually instead of stopping suddenly.

Rehydrate with water and electrolytes if needed.

Eat a meal containing carbohydrates and protein within an hour.

Take a cool shower or use cold towels to help lower your body temperature.

Continue drinking fluids over the next several hours.
