I believe children learn through playing, observing, exploring and experimenting. My goal is to meet each child’s social, emotional, intellectual and physical needs. At MonkeyBug Dayhome, the children will take part in various activities such free play time, crafts, songs, games, stories, baking, outdoor time and fun. Reading is very important and the children will always have plenty of books to look at and listen to.

Stickers help kids develop so much more that just being a super fun activity!
They are working on hand strength, pincher grib, bilateral hand control, hand/finger , colour recognition, choosing items they like and more!!!

As a dayhome provider for many years, this is soooo true!
Some kids are ready way earlier than others, but they will all eventually learn it! They focus on different things at different times. 🎯
It can be hard not to compare to their peers, but try not to. Kids are learning at an incredible pace and if you follow their lead and their pace it is so much more rewarding. They learn and RETAIN what they are passionate about! Ask any child about their interests and they can tell you everything they know about it! Foster that love!! It’s amazing!

I love this craft! It’s always been one that we do that is so special to my heart. Ive been running a dayhome for 14 years and this is one craft I do every year for fall. My favourite season, love the colours, love the way the kids choose to blend, dot and mix them all. 🍂❤️🍂🧡🍂🤎🍂💚🍂💜🍂💛🍂

We have been talking about how beautiful and colourful the sunrises 🌅 have been lately. So many colours and running through the spectrum as the sun comes up. 🌈 Today we tried to recreate the stunning sky with a fun craft that looks amazing in the bright window.
