Happy New Year!!

Hereโ€™s another project from December โ€” a project bag for fiber crafts, created for a talented and amazing knitter ๐Ÿ™‚๐Ÿงถ

Made with durable waxed canvas in soft grey and green moss fabric (available in my Spoonflower Fabric Shop), and finished with undyed veg-tan leather for a natural, timeless feel.

๐ŸŒผMore projects, patterns, and studio fun coming โ€” itโ€™s going to be a great 2026.

๐ŸŒผDM me if you have any questions about materials or project bags.

The Pattern Story
Reconnecting with traditional crafts and methods โ€” knitting, crocheting, sewing, permaculture, gardening, and sourdough โ€” are important to me. The patterns I create are grounded in earthy meanings and slow, intentional making.
Green Moss was inspired by the rich green moss of spring.
Yes, spring โ€” I love the sound of that word. Itโ€™s coming, friends and fellow gardeners ๐Ÿ™‚โ˜บ๏ธ

Bold colours are usually not my go-to choice, but - how satisfying! ๐ŸŽจโœจ Exploring and experimenting are so important for growth, both as an artist and as a person. This week, I dove into bright colors and let myself play. One of my biggest goals moving forward is to try new things, in art and in life! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜ These experiences often bring new inspiration from unexpected places.

Dragonflies, honestly, are some of the best little treasures found in the backyard (we had lots this summer).

In honor of the Dragonfly, fully embrace this day, and each day!

Bringing Nature In ๐ŸŒฟ
Summer always flies by too fast, but for my fellow nature lovers, bringing those fresh, outdoorsy vibes indoors is a mustโ€”year-round! ๐ŸŒž๐Ÿก

Earlier this summer, I had the joy of designing and printing these gorgeous kitchen towels for a wonderful customer.

The kitchen towels are made from natural fibers, and the ink is water-based - ecofriendly. ๐ŸŒŽ

๐Ÿฉต Grebes are such unique birdsโ€”those feet! ๐Ÿ˜„ย  Check them out:ย https://www.aiwc.ca/blog/dancing-on-water-the-unique-world-of-grebes/

๐ŸŒฑ And Snowdrops? Delicate-looking but tough as nails. Theyโ€™re the first to brave the end of winter.

Let nature inspire your space ๐ŸŒธโœจ

๐Ÿ‘€ A Sneak Peek ๐Ÿ‘€
As summer winds down and the days grow shorter, I'm excited to share a design that captures the season's essence! This cute wallpaper brings a warm, refreshing vibe to brighten those tired bedrooms. Letโ€™s keep the summer spirit alive and transform our spaces into cozy retreats! ๐ŸŒž๐Ÿ’› I can't wait to get the proofs. Don't worry, I'll keep you posted.๐Ÿ˜

๐ŸŒผAbout the Design - Summer Touches๐ŸŒผ
This design is inspired by the cozy charm of trailing vines and the delicate hues of late summer blooms. It features textured brush strokes against a linen-like background, creating a warm and tranquil atmosphere. With a muted palette of sage greens, soft pink touches, and gentle creams, this fresh heritage pattern adds a touch of warmth and elegance to bedroom walls and cozy nooks.

โค๏ธIt's been an AMAZING SUMMER! โค๏ธ

I was pleasantly surprised during a recent trip to PEI when I walked into Beaconsfield Historical House and saw walls beautifully adorned with the famous English textile designer William Morris's wallpaper.

Such a treat!!!!

Yes, I know, pattern nerd. ๐Ÿค“ The history and design were also remarkable.๐Ÿ˜Š

I have a passion for creating designs, but I equally cherish my time outdoors gardening. My freedom-to-be-messy space. ๐Ÿ™ƒ This week, I was fortunate to spend a significant amount of time harvesting, and getting messy.

Growing much of the produce we eat is important to me. Sometimes it doesn't go well, but I try.ย ๐Ÿ™ƒ

In the summer, there is always an abundance of nutritious and delicious vegetables, but the challenge lies in finding ways to make it last for the winter months. Honestly, I don't enjoy canning,๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™€๏ธ so I keep that to a minimum. However, I do ferment, freeze, and now dehydrate food.ย

Dehydrated vegetables offer a concentrated and nutritious option, allowing me to incorporate more vegetables into my diet. I can harvest the plants at their peak and begin processing them early in the summer, so that's a win.ย

๐Ÿ‘€ snapshot of this week's dehydration adventure.
ย
๐ŸคžMy dehydration list: dill, oregano, basil, calendula, and beets (for beet powder). ...maybe berries, if the birds leave me a few

It's time for a bit of spring inspiration. Although, with all the snow lately, it is hard to feel that spring vibe.
I love the simplicity of a line drawing and wanted to incorporate that into this pattern. And birdsโ€”thanks pandemic, for making me a "birder." They're so much fun!! ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿฆ‰

So...

The results are a traditional classic pattern with muted colours that create a warm and tranquil vibe and can be paired with antique decor or incorporated into a modern twist.
The one-directional pattern is perfect for a wallpaper refresh or adding a whimsical touch to your next sewing adventure.

Check out my link in the Bio to see all 14 colour variations.
If there is a colour or pattern size that would suit your needs better, DM me. I am happy to help!

Keep posted to see what is coming up next. (a little hint ๐Ÿ˜‰ I get to pull out my inks again) ๐Ÿ•ถ
