Congratulations to Camille Herron, age 42, who broke the women’s six-day world record, running at least 560.3 miles/901.8 kms at lulelemon FURTHER, at La Quinta, California, on a 2.5-mile flat dirt loop course. The previous record was set 34 years ago by Sandra Barwick, of New Zealand, with 549 miles/883.6 kms. This is the crowning jewel world record of the sport of ultrarunning’s long history. The women’s six-day race started nearly 150 years ago, in 1876, in Chicago, Illinois.

Along the way, Camille also smashed 8 other distance world records from 300 miles and up and 3 other fixed-time records from 72-hours and up. She exceeded 500 miles in less than five days, something no woman, and only a few men, have ever achieved.
