Springvale’s JOY group wrapped up their ministry season with their annual June BBQ. A huge thank you to the JOY leaders, executive and their host of volunteers. It has been a great year of lunches, learning and community for our seniors. We look forward to seeing everyone in September.

Springvale Women invite you to attend their upcoming Sister Social event. Come on out for a morning of springtime fun including creative workshops, conversation about the bonds that shape us, live music, high tea and time to meet and socialize with other women. As Springvale Women have a heart to help women in need, for this event they have teamed up with Safe Hope Home to collect items for the needs of women in their organization. Summer is a time for kids to have fun, meet new friends and try new things. Day camps at Springvale is a place where kids get to do all of this in a safe, nurturing and excellent environment. Sports, games, art, crafts, building relationships and learning Bible truths while connecting with great leaders are just some of the highlights.

Another busy day of sorting and packing a shipment for Faith’s Orphans Fund. Many hands have spent hours sewing, knitting and collecting supplies all which will make their way to Zambia to the children there. Included in the shipment were 375 dresses, 76 blankets and quilts, 67 pairs of boys shorts, 75 sweaters as well as school supplies, office supplies and other clothing items too many to list! A huge thank you not only to those who came to pack today but also to the dozens and dozens of people who have spent this cold winter knitting and sewing. You are making a difference!

As we look ahead to Easter weekend, we invite you to walk this journey with us, moving from deep reflection and remembrance into the life-changing joy of the Resurrection.

Join us on Good Friday where together, we will pause to remember the depth of God’s love through a reflective service of worship and communion, honouring the body broken and the blood shed for us. This is a moment to slow down, remember, and prepare our hearts for the hope that is coming.

Then, come celebrate the victory on Easter Sunday - because death could not hold Him! We’re throwing the doors wide open to rejoice in our Risen Savior. This year is especially meaningful as we rejoice in baptisms during our services—a powerful picture of new life in Christ. Whether you join us early or mid-morning, come ready to worship, celebrate the Resurrection, and be encouraged by those taking this step of faith.

Please note that, for all three services, there will be nursery available for kids up to 23 months. All other children are welcome to participate in the services with their families.

Springvale Missions supports several missionaries and missions organizations here in Canada and around the world.

John and Janice Cross are with Goodseed International. This ministry works with churches and organizations around the world to provide educational tools and curriculum focused on explaining the core message of the Bible.

John & Janice will be with us this weekend. Be sure to stop by the table in the foyer after the service to say hello and learn more of the work they are doing.
