Interested in Learning More About Serving as a School Trustee?

Individuals who are considering seeking election as a school trustee are invited to attend an information session before the nomination period for the October 17, 2026 Local General Election. The nomination period runs from September 1–11, 2026.

The same information will be presented at each session, so participants may attend the date that best fits their schedule.

Topics will include:

The roles and responsibilities of school trustees
The role of the Board of Education
Governance and decision-making processes
Expected time commitments
The District's Strategic Plan
An overview of the trustee nomination and election process

These sessions are intended to provide factual information to support individuals in understanding the role of a school trustee and the requirements of running for office.
