I read the term "deluxe reboot" on an article about Sooke Harbour House! What defines LUXURY? what is luxury? for me it has never been the higher price of an item , but first the authenticity, the quality, the workmanship of an item, the feeling of joy and peacefulness that a place brings...the luxury of time for example ...... the untouched beauty of a place.Do I think the "Deluxe reboot" has been achieved..........Reboot unsuccessful...Try again !

YINTAH, the Indigenous Canadian documentary feature, is coming to Netflix in Canada later this fall.

Spanning more than a decade of the Wet’suwet’en nation’s fight for sovereignty, it follows Howilhkat Freda Huson and Sleydo’ Molly Wickham as their nation reoccupies and protects their ancestral lands from several of the largest fossil fuel companies on earth.

For more than 40 years I gave my total energy and creativity to our business the Hotel Restaurant that was Sooke Harbour House. I discovered my passion for designing spaces while transforming our small B&B from 6 guest rooms to 28 with additional public spaces like the Garden room and the beautiful Potlatch room. I would like to transfer this passion of working with artists and finding locally the perfect art piece and locally built furniture into a new part time small business of interior design.
