The Bee View Suite

Behold… A man in his ‘Happy Place!’ I have so many people to thank for getting me here! So great to see Ali Alamolhoda from pop by today - Thanks again Ali for everything you did to help me realize this dream! Then had Chris Preston () pop by to check out my little nano brewery and take this photo. Followed by who pop by with some ‘Congratulations You’re Open’ offerings which I got to share with patrons - WICKED - BEST PIZZA EVER. Also had staff from pop by to check out what I’m doing and put out an initial feeler about perhaps working together - Wow! Just Wow! Then had a steady flow of fantastic beer fans show up to sample what I’ve been creating… Big thanks to everyone who showed up today and bought beer and listened to my crazy stories! Today was a very good day and the smile on my face captures it all. Am I trying to get rich? I sort of already am. I’ve got an amazing family, the best friends a guy could ask for and a community that seems to be embracing my craft beer dream… Richness in $$$-terms means nothing after you die, so better to embrace good times with good people while you’re alive I reckon and I’ve got some VERY GOOD PEOPLE AROUND ME! Thanks Everyone!

So many cool mushrooms on our property at the moment!

Glad I got this wooly thyme transplanted yesterday as the rains today are going to give it a good drink... Ideally they'll creep their way through that dark soil and provide an excellent boarder around our little apiary.

We thoroughly enjoyed hosting Mak and Ewa recently and were thrilled with the review they left for us. Be it the peaceful surroundings, the hot tub or the super comfy bed, we aim to make your time in Shirley a chance to relax and rejuvenate!

Dream bathroom, hot tub under the stars, beer samples… Won’t be long before Checkerhead Brewing opens, but in the mean time, guests of the Bee View Suite get to be ‘Beta Tasters’ for some of the test batches I’ve been doing. We can’t wait to welcome YOU to Shirley!

Thanks for the great review Cory! It’s true…The Bee View Suite is perfectly positioned if you want to check out the best beaches on the south-west coast of Vancouver Island. We’re minutes away from French Beach, Sandcut Beach, China Beach, Mystic Beach and if you drive a bit further you can get to Sombrio and Botanical. Can’t wait to welcome YOU to Shirley!

Andrew and Sierra hiked the Juan de Fuca trail then came to the Bee View Suite for a relaxing evening and a chance to soak in the private hot tub. The sample from Checkerhead Brewing was so tasty, they asked for more and we were happy to oblige. We can wait to welcome YOU to Shirley!
