Accreditation with CBOQ is more than a designation. It is a shared covenant of discernment, affirmation, and ongoing formation. Through Accredited–Licensed and Accredited–Ordained pathways, pastors/ministry leaders are assessed, affirmed and supported in their ministry with their local church, their Association and beyond. This strengthens ministry health while ensuring no church carries the weight of credentialing alone.

We’re so honoured to welcome Beth Allison Barr as our speaker ✨
Beth Allison Barr, Ph.D., is the James Vardaman Professor of History at Baylor University and a leading voice in the conversation around gender, church history, and Christianity.
A specialist in medieval history and women’s history, Beth is the bestselling author of The Making of Biblical Womanhood and her newest release, Becoming the Pastor’s Wife. Her work thoughtfully explores how history, theology, and lived experience shape the church today, inviting deeper reflection and more faithful ways forward.
Beth’s writing and scholarship have been featured by NPR and The New Yorker, and she regularly contributes to The Anxious Bench and other publications including Christianity Today and The Washington Post.
Beyond her academic work, Beth is a Baptist pastor’s wife and a proud mom of two great kids. We’re so grateful to learn from her and share this space together.
📚 A book signing will take place during the event.
