Lining the skram rear chambers with deadening foam and hatches with rubber gaskets.
Also finally cracked the code with interlocking feet placement on all the cabinets after encountering some screws and drill bits I twisted off during assembly. One of the not so pretty parts of the build that could have been avoided with a bit more planning on my part… It was an absolute brain melt but finally found a solution.

Here’s a few clips of the final licks of paint. Ecstatic to put painting behind me on these cabinets…For now. Manyyyyy flat coats followed by several textured coats. A spray booth would be nice for the next build..

Forever grateful to all the amazing souls who made our Bach sooo amazing. From the cushy drive up in Eric’s RV, to wreaking havoc on the seadoo, bumpin’ the soundsystem, keg stands, Jonny beers, group floats, the usual bachelor debauchery and plenty of poor life choices along the way - everyone really came together in their own unique way to make some serious magic happen that weekend.
This celebration was for all of us just as much as it was for Linda and I. The greatest gift was seeing so many different groups come together and make some everlasting memories.
Here’s to staying connected - wherever life takes each of us.

I guess this is goodbye for now old friend.
These last 16 years flew by. One day I blinked and your eyes were different. Runs became walks, alert became surprised and slowly your hearing went - Yet you still looked like the same little boy.
Nothing could ever prepare me for this hole in my heart. I wish we had more time. I wish I made more time. I would give anything to see you zoom around the yard again, wrestle with your mountain of toys, smell your fur or hear your claws scratch the floor whenever someone came home.
I know this year wasn’t easy. Thank you for holding out as long as you did. You might have been anxious through the years, but you were so brave in your final moment. I know you hate being alone, but I’m sure grandma will keep you company and well fed with table food even though she’ll never admit it.

Finishing work before painting again. I started off with sanding the entire cabinet flush so the filler had a decent surface to adhere to. Filled the many screw holes/gouges and sanded down again. Finished the cabinets by routing roundovers on all box corners. Had to wrestle with the fit on the Skram hatches and assembling/routing the front grill area on the C2Ds which was was agonizing to say the least 😵‍💫
Last pic is missing 2 subs and 2 tops as I ran out of juice rolling cabinets around, lol.

Assembly finally done on all the cabinets. Saved the hatch bracing for last. Now ah come the finishing work…

During the final glue up on the Skrams, found some of the panels to come up a bit short (sometimes as much as 4mm). My long time bruva helped me build a sled to trim down a few panels and get them fitting right. I used some painters tape and carefully step-cut against the router to minimize tear out on the panels that were already painted.
