April-May-Create

And now, the final instalment in the “pots that match the flowers on my street” collection…for now 🤪 Once again, not made intentionally to match the season but for my grandparents birthdays to commemorate our raspberry picking days at their house. A new technique used here that I didn’t expect to love but am indeed slightly obsessed with and will be trying again!

Updates: I’m moving away for a few months to continue this pottery journey as I take a 15 week ceramics course!! Positives: New learning, growth, adventure, opening of doors, following passions, yippie!! Cons: moving away from my cozy corner of the world, my heart people, AND my kitties💔 This choice fills me with so many conflicting emotions but one that I know in the long run will be so fulfilling. It feels like a dream discovering and following this passion at full speed and I feel so lucky to be in a place where I’m able to take the risk of doing so. I cannot wait to further push my skillset and can only hope that it opens so many more doors in my future as an educator, creative, and individual. I hope to keep this page active along the way, documenting my successes, failures, and exciting new discoveries! Stay tuned 😊

Continuing the saga of pottery that matches the flowers outside… we got daisies, baby!!! Gotta love that speckled clay. Are they daisies? Are they peppered egg flowers? I’ll let you choose haha!!

Now, I don’t intentionally time my pottery with the blooming season but am I totally stoked it’s been working out that way? Yes!! Talk about whimsy when the flowers across the street match your morning mug. Love love this one 😊 (Swipe to see it in its many stages)!

Having fun looking through my very yellow camera roll!! Spring has sprung!!! It’s now been over one full year of living on our daffodil street and while there have been ups and downs, it has been such a wonderful year with literally so so much to be grateful for. A year of new hobbies, good times with family and friends, and all the adventures!! Pottery has been the biggie this year with (of course) other projects along the way, but I love the challenge, creativity, community, learning, and how it combines so much of what I love to do. More to come 😊

Love love loved making this!! What a fun lil (long) lad! This started as a Christmas gift but turned into a March break gift for my daddio! Better late than never? MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
