Our office is rather stuffy đŸ€§đŸ€§

If you have been needing to retrieve artwork from VASU, know that we are more than happy to return your work to you! Please swing by during office ours, or reach out to us through our email.

The office is not built to be a collections, and we can’t properly store artwork in here for the long term. Many artworks have been left with us for over the years, and to give us some more air, we have decided to dispose these pieces after April 24th, 2027. So, if you’ve been needing to get your piece from us, now is the time!!

The exhibition will be at the Ground + 1st floor on all the walls and plinths that we can use within the Murray Library. They can display multiple mediums and are willing to help out with the setup and takedown alongside our amazing volunteers.

We are still in discussion about having silence in the gallery like we have always done. But for us to be able to have SILENCE! we need submissions!!

So, we will be extending the deadline to November 1st, as the auction will still be online for the sake of ease to receive and send payments out, and so that the team and I have enough time to input artwork into our website.

The reception at Louis’ will also have artwork for sale that you can ONLY bid and win in person (which could be yours!), to still give the vibe of what SILENCE! has been for 29 years.

It’s September 30th - Canada’s National Day of Truth and Reconciliation - The University of Saskatchewan’s Campus sits on Treaty 6 Territory and Homeland of the MĂ©tis. VASU is one of the many clubs on this campus who are lucky enough to use and share this land. Thank you to the MĂ©tis, Cree, Dakota, Saulteaux, Assiniboine / Nakota, Lakota, and Dene people who make our living, learning, and supporting art here possible.

Please take this day to connect with and learn from your local Indigenous communities and peers.
