‘The Growth of a Family’ - 2026


This painting was made for my wife with family in mind. For those who know us, we have gone through fertility treatments. It was a tough but rewarding journey. After 3 failed attempts we decided to do reciprocal IVF. Our first IVF treatment was successful. I painted the embryo as the seed for our family. The two bears represent me and my wife. The plant is growing toward the sky as our family will continue to grow together. There’s a couple little Easter eggs in this painting but I think that’ll be for us. This has to be my best work yet and my most meaningful.

We’re excited to now be offering beading classes!

1-on-1 classes with Britt or Ceridwen, in our home. We both are self taught, with almost 6 years of experience and experience teaching beading.

Cost: $130 for 2 hour sessions, +$50 for each additional hour

Included:
-Fresh baked bannock and coffee/tea
-A beading kit to take with you for your project
-Access to all of our bead colours and beading supplies (needles, thread, backing, findings, etc)
-Design assistance and use of our design tools (printed and digital templates, graphing paper)
-Two friendly cats to pet, and who will supervise your progress

Start from square one and learn the basics, practice or learn a new skill, or work on a project! *Please note for lanyards, we only teach tubular pe**te stitch, not the wrapping style.

I’ve been making this design since February 2023 and I never get tired of them. You can get them in metallic beads and matte beads. Every year I improve the design and every year I fall even more in love with these. Just know they are made with love and care. My obsession with corvids (more specifically black-billed magpies) has always ignited a passion for creating art and I feel that shows through in these lovely earrings.
