Very Excited for The Broadway Theatre!!!
Saskatoon, SK - The Friends of the Broadway Theatre board of directors is thrilled to introduce its new executive director, Lenore Maier, and artistic director, Aryn Otterbein. This new dual leadership model is one that will continue to build a tenet of sustainability, collaboration, and community in all of the Broadway Theatre’s arts and culture programming.
In the new model, both directors will report to the board of directors though their roles and responsibilities will be divided. “We anticipate that this will help the Broadway Theatre thrive, as each director can dedicate themselves to different organizational needs,” said board chair Nikesh Madhar.
Maier is an arts organizer, administrator and musician based in Saskatoon on Treaty 6 Territory. She is currently a director of The Salt Shaker Music Festival in Manitou Beach and has worked with other music and film festivals including the Saskatoon One Take Super 8 Event, Regina Folk Festival and Swamp Fest. She has worked as the executive director of Common Weal Community Arts (2022-23) and technical director of PAVED Arts (2017-2022). She has a Master of Public Health (2023), a BA in International Studies (2014) from the University of Saskatchewan and she plays
drums in Saskatoon surf pop band The Garrys. Lenore is passionate about arts and community health, specifically where those two realms intersect.
“I couldn’t be more excited to be joining the team here at the Broadway Theatre. I have a great amount of respect for everyone here. They hold an incredible wealth of experience and I look forward to learning from, and collaborating with, Aryn, and the rest of the team, to continue bringing diverse, accessible and exciting arts and culture programming to Saskatoon audiences in a manner that is both sustainable and mutually beneficial for everyone involved,” said Maier.
