A rich base makes better cooking. 🍲

These GiGi organic beef stock cubes bring deep, hearty beef flavour to your kitchen without the hours of simmering. Just drop one into hot water and you’ve got a strong broth ready to build a meal around.

Great for soups, stews, gravies, risotto, or adding depth to sauces and braised dishes.

Simple ingredient. Big flavour payoff.

Now available at Big Bend Market.

Some things get passed down for a reason.
Tallow is one of them.

Rich, simple, old-school, and seriously useful, beef tallow has made a big comeback in kitchens for people who want to cook with real, traditional fats again.

We make ours right here in store, then portion it out so it’s ready to take home and use without any extra work.

Use it for crispy potatoes, cast iron cooking, frying eggs, searing steaks, roasting vegetables, making burgers, seasoning pans, or adding deep savoury flavour to almost anything that hits heat.

It’s also become popular for baking, homemade fries, and even old-fashioned skin care routines for those who like keeping things simple and traditional.

Passed from our hands to yours, like the sacred kitchen gold it is.
Find Big Bend Market tallow in store while it’s available.

Meet your new grillmate 🔥

Hell Fire Detroit Jalapeño is the everyday workhorse. Bright, green, punchy, and easy to use without sending everyone at the table into panic mode.

This one is made for burgers, grilled chicken, tacos, nachos, breakfast wraps, eggs, sausages, sandwiches, roasted potatoes, mac and cheese, grilled corn, and anything with melted cheese.

Mix it into ranch for a quick jalapeño dip. Stir it into sour cream for taco night. Add it to mayo for a burger spread. Use it in a marinade for chicken thighs, or drizzle it over nachos right before they hit the table.

It brings heat, but it still lets the food taste like food.

Find it at Big Bend Market in Red Deer.

Make your own cheese at home!? 😮🧀

We’ve got the Fermentaholics D.I.Y. Fresh Cheese Making Kit in store, and it’s built for anyone who wants to try making real cheese at home without turning the kitchen into a science lab.

This kit is beginner-friendly, takes about 1 hour or less, and can make over 15 pounds of cheese with just milk added.

You can make fresh favourites like:

Mozzarella
Ricotta
Paneer
Cottage cheese
Burrata
Chèvre facile

It includes microbial rennet, flaked cheese salt, citric acid, cheesecloth, a recipe booklet, and gloves, so you’re not trying to piece together a cheese-making project from random internet tabs and a grocery list you half-trust.

Use it for homemade pizza night with fresh mozzarella, whipped ricotta on toast, paneer for curry, burrata with tomatoes and basil, cottage cheese for high-protein snacks, or a fresh cheese board when you want to bring something to the table that you actually made yourself.

This would also make a great gift for food lovers, home cooks, hobby kitchen people, homeschool projects, date-night cooking, or anyone who likes the idea of learning an old-school food skill in a simple, approachable way.

Just add milk, follow the steps, and start easin’ into cheesin’.

Available at Big Bend Market in Red Deer.

Add basil to tomatoes, mozzarella, grilled chicken, fresh pasta, pizza, or bruschetta.

Use mint for iced tea, lemon water, fruit bowls, lamb, yogurt sauce, cocktails, or fresh summer salads.

Check our produce cooler for seasonal options and see what’s fresh this week.

This one tastes like it came straight from grandma’s kitchen. 🥗

Our macaroni salad keeps things classic. Tender macaroni, bits of ham and cheese, celery, onions, and a creamy dill dressing that ties it all together.

Then we add our own in-house smoked ham nuggets for that extra hit of flavour.

It’s the kind of salad that shows up at family gatherings for a reason. Simple, creamy, and hard to stop going back for another scoop.
