OUTLINE OF THE POSITION:
The Tłı̨chǫ Įmbè Participants us responsible for participating in Tłı̨chǫ culture and traditional lifestyle activities, safety certificate courses, community service projects, on the land travel under the direction of the Project Managers, Group Leaders, Community Elders, Community Mentors, Leaders and Citizens, and for contributing to the community in a positive and meaningful way.

ELIGIBILITY:
Applicants must currently be enrolled in high school (Grade 10 and up in Behchokǫ̀) or be attending or planning to attend a recognized post-secondary institution for studies in the fall.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
– Traditional skills workshops.
– Community service projects.
– Safety certificates courses.
– Life skills workshops.
– On the land travel.
– Program evaluations.
– End of year celebration.

Join us March 12-14 at the Hoghàdets’eetǫ - Ełexè Eghàlats’eeda / Learning and Working Together Tłı̨chǫ Gathering and get creative while helping make a furry friend happy! Daily from 2-5 PM, MT MakerSpace will be sharing the ins and outs of building dog houses for man’s best friend; it is going to be paws-itivly awesome! Learn more at learningandworkingtogether.ca

Join us March 12-14 to hear from our Master of Ceremonies, Jenn Hayward! Jenn will also be hosting comedy confidence workshops on March 12 and March 13 between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM at the Elizabeth MacKenzie Elementary School. That’s not all - on March 14 at 8:00 PM, Jenn will be performing at the Kǫ̀ Gocho Sportsplex Centre.

Jenn, a Métis woman, comedian, and consultant with over 20 years of experience in Indigenous policy and justice, is also a well-known figure in the comedy scene, with appearances on CBC and Sirius XM. Her extensive background includes national training for parole officers, consultations with Indigenous communities and Elders, and writing a syndicated column for CBC radio. Passionate about diversity training and fostering a broader perspective, Jenn has also ventured into the business world, offering her expertise to Indigenous firms. Despite her diverse professional pursuits, her primary passion remains promoting reconciliation.

Join us daily at the Hoghàdets’eetǫ - Ełexè Eghàlats’eeda / Learning and Working Together Tłı̨chǫ Gathering for on da gha wenda (sit with an Elder) to connect and learn from the wisdom of our Elders. Elders will be available throughout the entire event for support.
