We sat down (well she was actually just standing behind a cart😄) with the person behind them (Renata) to find out what goes into it.
Turns out our displays aren’t random, each one is picked to highlight books, topics, or events you might’ve walked right past otherwise.
It’s basically our way of pointing you toward stuff worth checking out (some hidden gems included 💎).

Last week our library team spent two days at Carrier Sekani Family Services’ Nowh Guna’ Carrier Culture Training.
The workshop covered Carrier history, language, and worldviews, the lasting impact of residential schools, and how to build trust and meaningful relationships. It deepened our understanding of the context we work within here at UNBC, and we had a lot of fun along the way.
A heartfelt thank you to our facilitators Dianna, Annette, and Barby for sharing their knowledge so generously. Mussi Cho! 🪶
