Brachiopod Fossil Necklace – $20
Available for pickup in Point Edward or shipping within Canada. 🇨🇦
Back in the 1980s, when the clay cliffs of Hillcrest Heights began to crumble into Lake Huron, they revealed something extraordinary; fossils that had been tucked 40–50 feet underground for millions of years. Searching through that freshly exposed clay was like stepping into deep time, and it sparked a lifelong love of ancient life and the quiet stories held in stone.
This necklace is made from one of those little treasures.
A genuine brachiopod fossil, gently polished and set on an 18" stainless steel chain that’s durable, comfortable, and beautifully simple.
For anyone who loves Lake Huron, local history, or meaningful handmade pieces with a story, this one carries all of it.

I am offering this reclaimed lime green glass pendant, shaped from a fragment found in the Grasslands at Canatara Park; a place with a long memory and an even longer journey toward healing.
From 1929 to 1967, this area served as a municipal dump. Household waste, industrial debris, and everyday bottles were buried beneath the soil. Today, the Grasslands are part of an ongoing naturalization and remediation effort, slowly restoring the land with native plants, careful stewardship, and time. After heavy rains, old glass sometimes rises to the surface; small reminders of what the earth has carried for decades.
This piece began as a broken bottle, likely one of the bright lime‑green soda or mineral water bottles that were common in the mid‑20th century. Once discarded, forgotten, and buried, it’s now been reclaimed, reshaped, and given new purpose.
Suspended inside the glass ring is a dragonfly — a symbol of transformation, resilience, and clarity. Dragonflies spend most of their lives hidden underwater before emerging into the light, changing form entirely. Their story mirrors the journey of this glass and the land it came from: what was once buried has risen, been renewed, and now carries a quiet beauty.
Together, the reclaimed glass and the dragonfly create a piece that speaks to restoration; of land, of materials, of meaning.
A unique piece of wearable art with local meaning and history.
Handcrafted and set on a stainless steel, 18” chain, this pendant is available for purchase.

I’m leaving this Lake Huron Charm out in the world today, hoping it finds the person who needs a small moment of wonder. The stone is a piece of mica schist I found along the shoreline, shaped, polished, and paired with a tiny moon and star to echo the way its natural sparkle catches the light.
If you happen to discover it, I hope it brings you a sense of calm and connection to this place we’re lucky to call home. Lake Huron has a way of grounding us, and this little charm carries a bit of that quiet magic forward.
May it land gently in the right hands.

I have recently noticed an increase in the number of people following my page. I want to personally thank each of you for supporting this endeavour; for loving nature and the land that sustains us.
When I make a necklace, it isn’t a quick or simple process. Every piece begins long before the polishing starts with hours spent walking the shores and trails of this area, searching for the right stones. I never buy crystals, glass, fossils, or shells. Every focal point in my work comes from raw materials I’ve personally found here, shaped by the land I love. I feel a strong sense of connection to every piece I make.
The stones you see here have already been cut, drilled, and polished. Each one has over 10 hours of hand‑work to reach that glossy finish. Even the pieces of repurposed glass take 1–3 hours of careful shaping, frosting, and drilling. These photos represent hundreds of hours of quiet, meditative care.
So why do I sell my creations for so little if so much effort is invested?
I don’t create for capitalist reasons. I create for the sake of creation; to help people see the beauty in nature, to spark curiosity, and hopefully to inspire stewardship for the places we share. I often leave free art pieces that highlight the beauty of nature. If one of my pieces helps someone feel more connected to the natural world or a moment of happiness, then it has already done its job.
So, from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU for following along, for having a curiosity and admiration of our world, and for appreciating the beauty I strive to reveal.
Stay tuned as these pictured stones, fossils, and glass become wearable tributes to the amazing attributes of nature. 🙂

A little piece of ancient Lake Huron history, ready to wear.
This handcrafted necklace brings together three remarkable finds from the southern shores near Sarnia: a beautifully patterned favosite fossil, a vibrant piece of kelly green beach glass, and a cephalopod embedded in dark limestone; each shaped by time, water, and the quiet persistence of the Lake.
Mounted on an attractive 18" stainless steel chain, this pendant carries both geological heritage and shoreline charm. Every element was gathered with care, polished with patience, and assembled to honour the stories held within these stones.
If you love meaningful, nature-inspired jewelry with a true local connection, this piece is available now.

These two glass pendant necklaces have been created from old glass found at Canatara Park.
The Grasslands at Canatara hold almost forty years of forgotten waste ... glass, metal, and remnants of everyday life buried from 1929 to 1967.
The land is slowly healing through naturalization and remediation. As it heals, the earth sometimes releases what it has carried for decades. After a heavy rain, broken pieces of glass rise to the surface like tiny jewels.
I collect these fragments of what was, with the imaginings of what will be. Each shard is a piece of history, once discarded, now reclaimed.
By shaping them into charms and pendants, I’m removing waste from the environment while creating something beautiful. It is a small act of renewal, a reminder that even what was considered waste, can be transformed.
The first necklace was created from a shard of seafoam glass and shaped into a heart. A dainty butterfly charm accents the glass beautifully.
The second necklace was created from the rim of a lime glass bottle and accented with a pair of dolphins.
Both necklaces are mounted on 18" stainless steel chains that are durable enough for everyday wear.
Both of these necklaces are a tribute to renewal and hope for a better future.
Nurture nature and she will return the favour. ❤
