I’m a Certified Professional Organizer, interior decorating graduate, redesign specialist, farm wife, mom, carpenter’s daughter, and avid personal growth seeker. Between unpredictable seasons, busy households, shifting priorities, and everyday responsibilities, it’s easy for

Meal Planning
Give yourself credit for mental labor.
Did meal planning make your list too?
WAYS I MAKE MY LIFE EASIER Part 8
A calm room isn't always about decorating better.
Sometimes it's about removing responsibility.

Organize the Garage
Specific beats vague every time.
What's your garage equivalent? (what do you call a task that is really a project?)
Ways I Make My Life Easier Part 6
One of the biggest lessons organizing taught me is that environment often beats willpower.
If we want certain behaviors to happen more often, we need to make them easier to do.
That's true for adults too.
For years, every task felt urgent.
If I didn't do it immediately, it sat in my brain creating anxiety until it was finished.
But this camping trip reminded me of something important:
When you're no longer living in constant overwhelm, you can start making intentional decisions.
Not every task has to be done right now.
Sometimes the better question is:
"Do I have the time and energy to do this now, or would my future self be better equipped to handle it later?"
The key is that "later" isn't avoidance.
Later is a decision.
Later has a plan.
Later has time blocked off for it.
That's what creates trust in yourself.
And honestly?
That's one of the biggest signs you've moved from survival mode into maintenance mode.
Have you ever caught yourself treating every task like an emergency?
👇 Tell me: are you a "do it now" person or a "do it later" person?
I think a lot of people are quietly blaming themselves for struggling inside systems that were never realistic to begin with.
You do not need to become a perfectly disciplined, hyper-productive version of yourself to function better at home.
You need:
more realistic expectations,
more sustainable systems,
and less pressure to “do it all.”
That’s what I talk about here.
Functional homes.
Realistic motherhood.
Practical systems.
Mindset shifts.
Reducing mental overload.
And learning how to stay consistent without perfection.
And if you’ve been wishing someone could actually help you sort through the overwhelm in your home with you…
I also offer in-person decluttering and organizing services through my business "Via Organizing".

If it has multiple steps, decisions, timelines, or people involved...
it's probably a project.

The easiest organizing question you can ask:
"How often do I actually use this?"
The answer should determine where it lives.
If it has multiple steps, decisions, timelines, or people involved...
it's probably a project.
