🧑 Celebrating National Indigenous History Month

June is National Indigenous History Month, a time to honour the histories, cultures, knowledge, and enduring contributions of First Nations, Inuit, and MΓ©tis Peoples.

At Simcoe Hall, we recognize that meaningful learning begins with listening. This month, we encourage our community to explore Indigenous perspectives, celebrate achievements, and deepen our understanding of the histories, traditions, and contributions that continue to shape our communities, our region, and our country.

National Indigenous History Month is an opportunity to learn from Indigenous voices, reflect on our shared history, and recognize the strength, resilience, and wisdom that continue to enrich our communities today.

Together, let us learn, reflect, and move forward with respect, understanding, and a shared commitment to reconciliation. πŸ’™

πŸ“£ A Huge Thank You to MTC Factory Outlet!

When one of our Food Bank freezers unexpectedly stopped working, we knew we needed help quickly. Thanks to our friends at MTC Factory Outlet, what could have become a major challenge turned into an incredible example of community support.

After reaching out, we were thrilled to learn that MTC was willing to donate a replacement freezer and even more amazed that it would be ready for pickup the very next day! The speed of their response and generosity was nothing short of incredible.

MTC has supported Simcoe Hall's programs in the past, so we knew they cared deeply about the community. Once again, they stepped up when we needed them most, helping ensure that we can continue serving individuals and families who rely on our Food Bank.

On behalf of everyone at Simcoe Hall, thank you to Heather and the entire team at MTC Factory Outlet for your generosity, partnership, and outstanding commitment to helping others. Community support like yours makes a real difference every day and we are truly grateful.πŸ’™
