✅ Wait for warm weather: Make sure it’s been at least 16°C for 24 hours before turning on your unit.
✅ Power up early: If you shut off power during winter, turn it back on at least 24 hours in advance, this gives the internal oil time to warm up.
✅ Clear the space: Your exterior condenser needs plenty of airflow. Keep it free of branches, debris, and lint from nearby dryer vents.
✅ Clean those coils: A dirty unit works harder and costs more to run. A simple clean coil can boost performance and longevity.
✅ Keep it level: A unit that’s out of level can damage the compressor, one of the most expensive parts to replace.
