When he’s not creating, you’ll probably find him skateboarding, out on the golf course, or spending time with his son Noah, teaching him all the things he loves most.

Creative, talented, and always bringing a unique perspective to the team, Mike’s a huge part of what makes JAC what it is.

We're excited to announce the launch of the new website and refreshed brand presence for Vulcan Minerals, a publicly traded Canadian mineral exploration company with deep roots in Newfoundland and Labrador.

With a long history in the industry, Vulcan's previous digital presence was built around a single-page website that no longer reflected the scale of the company, its projects, or its vision for the future. Our team partnered with Vulcan to create a fully redesigned website experience that better showcases its exploration portfolio, investor information, company news, and long-term growth strategy.

Built with accessibility, performance, and discoverability in mind, the new site features a modern user experience, a fully SEO-optimized structure, and accessibility-focused development to ensure important information is easy to access for all users across devices.

Say hi to Riley, our Student Web Developer 👋

Riley recently finished the Software Development program at College of the North Atlantic after three years of hard work, where he discovered his passion for development and technology. This September, he’ll be heading back to continue his studies in the Applied Degree in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. 🤖💻

He’s not exactly new around JAC’s halls either… and trust us, we’d know with his charismatic personality. 😄 During his time with the team, Riley’s been gaining hands-on experience through web development projects, learning new tools, and collaborating on digital work behind the scenes. His easygoing attitude and willingness to learn make him a great fit around here.

Outside of work, Riley enjoys taking it easy, spending time with friends, and making the most of his downtime. 🎸✨

He thrives on collaboration and genuinely loves seeing the people around him succeed. Tough when he needs to be, supportive when it matters most, and always encouraging everyone to level up.

Outside the office, John’s probably cruising with one of his legendary playlists packed with literally every genre imaginable, jumping into Call of Duty, or proving once again that he flushes twice, and cleans the rim, and the seat and the door and the handle and even the switch… 😂 🎮 🎶

Originally from St. John’s, NL, Grace is bringing her creativity and fresh perspective to the JAC team during her work term placement. She’s currently wrapping up the Graphic Design program at College of the North Atlantic and already making her mark with a passion for design and all things creative.

Whether she’s working on new ideas, refining visuals, or diving into creative projects, Grace loves finding ways to bring concepts to life through design.

Designed to support both customers and day-to-day operations behind the scenes, the new Lighthouse Picnics website delivers a seamless Shopify experience tailored to the needs of a growing local business.

Built with custom local pickup functionality, the site makes it easier for customers to browse, order, and schedule curated picnic experiences online with a smooth and intuitive checkout process across all devices. Behind the storefront, we also developed a customized backend system designed to simplify order management and generate detailed daily inventory lists, helping streamline operations and improve efficiency for the Lighthouse team.

Known for creating thoughtfully curated picnic experiences at their location in Ferryland, Lighthouse Picnics blends hospitality, tourism, and local experiences into something uniquely memorable. The new site was designed to reflect that same elevated and approachable experience online.
This project also continues our growing body of work throughout the region alongside organizations and businesses including CBDC Celtic, Gatherall’s, and Curamara, helping bring locally driven brands to life through thoughtful digital experiences.

We’ve officially upgraded our websites to WordPress 7.0, and this is one of the biggest updates yet. 🚀

Website Launch: Memorial University of Newfoundland Faculty Association (MUNFA) 🌐

Built to support one of Newfoundland and Labrador’s leading faculty associations, the new MUN Faculty Association website delivers a modern, streamlined experience designed to make important information easier to access, navigate, and manage for members across all devices.

As the certified bargaining agent representing Memorial University faculty, librarians, archivists, and counsellors, MUNFA plays an important role in advocating for fair working conditions, academic freedom, and member support. The new website was designed to better connect members with the information and resources they rely on, from collective agreements and advocacy updates to member services and organizational news.

One of the most significant parts of this project was the migration and organization of a massive volume of legacy content, including over a thousand information bulletins and member resources. The new structure ensures members can quickly find the tools, updates, and documentation they need through a cleaner, more intuitive experience.

Alongside the redesign, the new site also saw major improvements in performance standards, doubling both Accessibility and Best Practice scores to create a stronger, more inclusive digital experience for all users.
This launch also continues our growing partnership with the organization, alongside projects completed with Fairlead, the Marine Institute, and the Botanical Garden, helping bring connected, user-focused digital experiences to institutions across the province.
