I had the pleasure of practicing my cake skills thanks to Meghan Davidson! This cake was definitely beyond my skill set but I tried my absolute best to deliver the cake Meghan left me with! The only way I will get any better is by going out of my comfort zone and trying new things! Practice makes perfect!

Every year, at my cousins request, I make a cake for his birthday party ~ more specifically a strawberry shortcake 🍰
If you take a moment to browse my page, you can see that I’ve come a LONGGG way with my cake skills. Marcus has gotten some rather … well … let’s say mediocre looking cakes in the past. However, I guess the taste and his love for me keep him coming back and challenging me with a new picture he wants me to recreate for his party.
This year, I am proud to say that I made this. And this may be the start of me and selling cakes 😉
I just needed time and practice to get where I am now, and it’s only up from here! Excited to see where this new road takes me!

♥️Not So Vegan Happy Fathers Day Carrot Cake♥️

Wishing my Dad & All Dads a Happy Father’s Day!

Pretty much every year, Dad uses Father’s Day as an excuse for me to bake his favourite cake - Carrot Cake. But not just any Carrot cake. The Carrot Cake that has everything people don’t like in it - Pineapple, Walnuts & Raisins.

We go to restaurants and though the cake is good it either has no raisins, pineapple or walnuts so it does not receive the Mr. Alex Stamp of Approval. So when I bake it, it has to have all the “stuff in it”. And it does, but it doesn’t normally look pretty. Those who have been here awhile know cakes are my biggest struggle & I’ve been trying to perfect them in order to satisfy my customers needs as I am turning people away due to my lack of abilities.

So I set out to make this the best one yet - looking and hopefully tasting better than all the rest prior.

I am proud of myself for how it turned out but am still waiting on that stamp of approval🤞🏼
