ā€œTisgeh’dahā€ means
ā€˜let’s colour it’ in Ojibwe.

To help celebrate both Pride Month AND National Indigenous History Month we are having a ā€˜Truckload Sale’.

Beam Paints Tisgeh’dah Pine Watercolour Palettes are 20% off for the month of June. (While supplies last.)

The colours in this palette are: Cherry, Strawberry, Pumpkin, Fall Poplar Yellow, Spring Green, Robins Egg, Sky Blue and Blueberry Mountain.

A tester card is included, which allows you to learn these colour names in Ojibwe as well.

This palette is technically marketed as a children’s palette because all of the colours have been third party tested by the toxicologists at Duke University and Cambridge Materials testing to meet and exceed the standards for safety for children’s paint. They are not toxic or hazardous and meet LHAMA and ASTM D4236 standards for artist materials.

Not just for kids, this palette is made with Beam Paint’s same dedication to lightfastness and quality and are identical to their other paints for fine artists.

We are proud to carry Beam Paints and always have a selection in store of their various offerings. We are also happy to take specific requests when we order.

I hate to complain, but…
…At least they ended up buying something (a box of seed bombs.) Happy Saturday!

My hat is mandatory for hot sunny weather because it has the magical ability to make me feel cooler (both temperature and style wise). Assuming I actually head out and about you will most likely see me wearing it. (I don’t care if my friend thinks it’s stupid. It’s going on my head.) It is rather pungent at the moment though, so maybe I’ll throw it in the washing machine before my next wear.

Victoria Day long weekend aka May Two-Four is a special weekend for us Canadians. It marks the time when we’re fairly certain winter is over (although you never know) and we can start to get our summer on.

Many of us head out to participate in activities like gardening, road trips, hikes, camping/opening our cottage, BBQing and spending time outdoors with friends.

To help celebrate the long weekend and the return of (hopefully) warmer weather I’ve put together some little curated collections that I’m calling ā€˜Patio Packs’.

These little baskets and bundles feature tumblers made from upcycled bottles by in Tory Hill, ON or vintage cups and saucers. I have paired them with Canadian made items to such as a pewter bottle opener made in Pugwash, Nova Scotia by , handwoven 100% cotton cloths made in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan by , felt flowers handmade in Ottawa by , or preloved or vintage pieces to help with entertaining.

These make great gifts for yourself or others! (Hostess, housewarming, bridal showers, thank you, retirement, Father’s Day, graduation, birthdays etc.)

Come check them out or DM me to claim yours.
