After 22 years of inspiring creativity and encouraging generations of students to see the world through an artistic lens, Mrs. Laurie is retiring from Meadowridge.
As one chapter comes to a close, another begins. Mrs. Laurie played a foundational role in building our art program, and we’re deeply grateful for the creativity, care, and passion she has shared with our community over the past two decades.
As Mrs. Laurie passes the paintbrush, Mr. Sulemana takes the next step, continuing her legacy of creativity as our new High School Art teacher.
Thank you, Mrs. Laurie, for the colourful legacy you’ve left across our campus and in the hearts of so many students.
To learn more about Mrs. Laurie’s impact, her Meadowridge journey, and the legacy she leaves behind, read her feature in the latest issue of The Gryphon magazine.

Future entrepreneurs were hard at work last week.
Led by Grade 11 student Harley B., our Future Founders: AI & Business camp gave campers the opportunity to explore entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and responsible AI through hands-on learning.
From developing original business ideas and creating brand identities to building marketing strategies and pitching their concepts, students learned what it takes to bring an idea to life. Along the way, they discovered how AI can be used as a tool to spark creativity, strengthen ideas, and support thoughtful decision-making.
Most importantly, campers built confidence, collaborated with one another, and had plenty of fun doing it—right down to creating (and enthusiastically singing) their own business jingles.
It’s inspiring to see Harley share his passions with younger learners and helping foster the next generation of innovators and entrepreneurs.

Construction on The Leger Library and Student Services Centre has reached nearly 50% completion, with the structural framework now in place.

When complete, the new space will feature a modern library designed for all our learners, alongside Academic Support, Social Emotional Counselling, and Information Technology.

With drywall and electrical work up next, we’re one step closer to our October completion.

Guess What 👀
There’s one familiar piece of the old library that will be staying. Did you spot it? Let us know in the comments below!
