Another example of why I believe our future is in good hands.

Congratulations to Sam Hamilton on receiving the Si’Yam Cultural Leadership Award and being recognized across multiple categories for leadership, creativity, perseverance, citizenship, athletics, and cultural youth knowledge. That kind of recognition isn't easily earned and reflects character, hard work, and the impact she’s already having on the people around her.

Honoured to call Sam a friend and excited to watch where life takes her next.

Congratulations as well to her very proud parents, Lori and Dean. You can see the pride in this photo and rightfully so ❤️

The only upside to the kids being away at university is getting to visit them...

This weekend I spent Mother’s Day in Spokane — watching Ashley volunteer for Make-A-Wish alongside baby goats (honestly, genius fundraising), catching up with Walter the dog and Maisie the cat, and having dinner with Caitlyn, who feels like family in all the ways that matter.

A pretty perfect Mother’s Day weekend.

Sending love to everyone who celebrated, remembered, missed someone, or simply made it through the weekend ❤️

Quick shoutout to my friend Travis Franklin, PREC, Macdonald Realty.

I’ve known Travis almost 40 years — and he’s just someone who shows up. No spotlight, no fuss, he just gets it done.

Every year at the HOME SHOW, he organizes the shuttle. It's not a flashy job, but it makes a big difference for everyone attending and helps support a good cause. This year, donations went to Make-A-Wish Canada.

Travis, thank you.

We can’t all do everything — but we can all do something.

And if you’re looking to pitch in next year… driving the shuttle is actually one of the best volunteer gigs out there 😉

I just walked the MRSS track and read about 4 young women who are no longer with us.

An incredibly powerful activity.

When saying their names out loud it was hard to hold the tears back. If you have time, stop by and join the walk.❤️

Today MRSS honours Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls with our annual "Say Her Name, Walk Her Walk" event. We invite our community to join us to come walk a lap or two while reading one missing woman's story to honour who she was before she was taken from us. Please join us on the track anytime today - everyone welcome.

Today is Red Dress Day — a day to honour Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and Two-Spirit+ people.

No big words. Just taking a moment to recognize, listen, and remember ❤️

What a lovely afternoon at the Alisa's Wish High Tea 💕

Alisa's Wish does such important work here in Maple Ridge, supporting children, youth, and families impacted by abuse with advocacy, counselling, and compassionate care when it’s needed most.

Thank you to the organizers, volunteers, and everyone who helped make today so special. It was a beautiful reminder of the power of community and coming together to support one another.

If you missed today and would like to support their work, you can donate 👇

Already looking forward to next year ☕💗

If you're in town this weekend, come visit me at the Ridge Meadows HOME SHOW.

I'm here tonight until 8:30 and back again tomorrow from 9:30-11:30am, driving the shuttles.

I volunteered here years ago, so it feels really nice to be back again this year and see so many familiar faces and local businesses coming together.

It's always such good energy when the community shows up like this.

Wow, what a “weekend”!

Kicked off at Pitt Meadows Plumbing's “Future of Work” event with a great conversation with Carly Steiman about promoting women in the trades.

Sunshine at The Patch Brewery, Cliff Falls hike, a beautiful gala put on by the Maple Ridge Community Foundation with the most beautiful people and flowers from Westgate Flower Garden, and finally time on the Island with my son Matthew (including Rathtrevor Beach).

So special to have my friend Lauren join from Spokane as everything’s better shared.

Full. Fast. Meaningful.

Now off to Chicago for work ✈️

A night I’ll never forget.

Last night, I was honoured to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Maple Ridge Community Foundation's Citizen of the Year Gala, but this isn’t mine alone.

Sandra, Adrienne, and all the nominees, you inspire me. And to the younger nominees, our future is in very good hands.

This belongs to those who came before us, everyone carrying it forward today, and the next generation to come.

Grateful to share this moment with my mom, Debbie, and my sister, Stacy.

None of this happens alone.
Celebrating the people who make our little part of the world a better place.

Happy Volunteer Week ❤️

Last night, in celebration of National Volunteer Week, our EDA brought volunteers together to say thank you.

One year ago, we didn’t have an EDA. Today, we have a dedicated and growing team — built by people who care deeply about this community.

We’re proud of what’s been started and grateful to everyone who helped build it.

Community service first. Public service second. Friendships to last a lifetime.

And we’re just getting started.
