The RCMP and their lovely friends have landed at the Fairgrounds!

The Musical Ride is fast approaching and today 20 talented horses and their talented riders arrived at the fairgrounds!

They're all being kept watered and fed for the next couple days at our horse stalls - that's where you can come say hello through the 9:00am - 5:00pm Meet & Greet hours tomorrow and Thursday!

We look forward to seeing you all there! Please remember to arrive on time, as we may reach capacity, and to leave all pets at home for this event. We will also have food trucks present, where you can grab yourself a delicious snack while you watch the show.

This long-held Canadian tradition has returned to our community again, and, in celebration of 125 Years of Country Fest, the Musical Ride will be offering FREE admission for their two shows later this week!

Please note that we may reach capacity on either night. If this happens, we ask that you be respectful to our volunteers and staff. We also kindly ask that you leave your pets at home for this event.

The last time that the RCMP Musical Ride visited our community was 9 years ago in celebration of Canada's 150th Birthday - though this was still not its first appearance in Maple Ridge.

This long-standing Canadian tradition has been across the country many times. It began in 1887 as a uniquely Western attraction, while slowly spreading across the country over the coming decades, performing some years and not in others. The Musical Ride gained presence worldwide by performing not only across Canada, but the world, visiting places like Ireland, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

The first time that the ride was performed in Maple Ridge was in 1992, where our long-time volunteer Tom Cameron began his work with the association as an announcer. Later performances occured in 2013, when proceeds from the event went to Maple Ridge Therapeutic Riding, and 2017, when they went towards Cops for Cancer.

This year's RCMP Musical Ride is unique in that there will be no ticket costs - the event is completely free for the public to come see. We'll be accepting donations for parking, which will support the Alouette Men's Shed. They'll be performing for two days next week, we hope you all can make it!

Parking at the event will be by donation, with proceeds going towards the Alouette Men's Shed and the incredible work they do! Cash only, so make sure to bring your loonies and toonies!

That’s a wrap on Country Fest 2026!

What an incredible weekend of fun, entertainment, and community spirit as we celebrated 125 years of the Maple Ridge Pitt Meadows Agricultural Association.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and helped make this year’s fair such a success. From our volunteers, 4-H members, leaders, exhibitors, sponsors, vendors, entertainers, and staff — this event simply wouldn’t happen without you.

We also want to extend a special thank you to Graham, our new manager, for his leadership and experience, which were a tremendous asset throughout the weekend.

On a personal note, I would also like to thank my family, and especially my fiancée Bailea, for their continued love, patience, and support throughout the many months of planning that go into making this event possible.

It was an honour to celebrate this milestone with all of you. We are proud to continue a 125-year tradition of bringing our community together, and we can’t wait to see you again next year!

While the weather had its ups and downs, this year's fair turned out to be a massive success, which wouldn't have been possible without our visitors. Whether you show up for the stage, the lumberjacks, the home arts show, for 4-H, or anything else, you support us more than you can ever know and you keep us running year after year.
